I'll still need to spend some time to figure out why they're not automatically playing for this FM [...]
It may have to do something with the codec used for these movies. Two video editing programs I have could not open the movies or tell me what codec they use. Even Windows (Win7x64) could not tell me what resolution etc. the movies use. Thief's original movies can be edited with said programs, and their resolution as well as some other parameters are shown. Howewer, my Win7 can still
play the movies from "Mystery of the Upper Quarter", despite not being able to show parameters.

Shaz, if you're still on NewDark 1.25 or older, you might try upgrading to 1.26 as it contains a fix which solves the problem of briefing and cutscene movies not playing for some people, it worked for me.

I'm honestly not certain what version I'm running. How can I check?
I did try the recommended solutions to briefings not playing (for Win7 64 bit, as that's what I'm running), found in the FAQ in the Technical & Troubleshooting Area forum. Sadly, no luck.

To check your Thief 2 version, you can start the game with FM-Selector for playing Fan Missions. In the title bar of the window, the version should be displayed, e.g., "Thief 2 Final 1.25".

The first thing I did was try to load up the game to see something like that, since that's where I'm accustomed to seeing such things, but there's no in-game version display. I prefer New Darkloader over FMSel, but NDL just displays its own version number, and not Thief's. Switched to FMSel and there it was! I am indeed running New Dark 1.25. I've downloaded 1.26 but... honestly not certain how to properly install it. To prevent possibly messing things up, I might just wait for Tafferpatcher to update and let it handle things for me!
Thank you both for the help, I appreciate it.

Hi there
Is there a walkthrough for this please? I cannot find all the loot.
Thanks

Good day everyone.
I'm working hard on Mission 2. Some days more than the other, but progress is definitely there. I'm not a fast mission builder, so I can't say when this one will be done.
@bigalexjones66: As of now there isn't a walkthrough yet. Did you get
the crystal in the little cave next to the marketplace? Have you been to the other cave yet by the water? There are also some loot items hidden under tables/nightstands.
I'm also in the need of a little more loot.
Of the not-so-obvious loot items, I have:
- golden dagger in cave, by invisible spider
- silver nugget on ledge in cave tunnel with walking planks
- purse at the market (is there more here?)
- purple goblet at the large outdoor café (is there more here?)
- crystal(s) where you can start jumping your way up onto furniture floting in the air
Is there anything further up in the 'crazy house' with the floating furiture, or in any of the large bodies of water (with bad visibility)? Anything in the church?
I found a flute in a music room somewhere (forgot where) but it isn't frobbable.

@jiansonz
Thank you for playing the mission :) Have you been to The warehouse, and the basement of the church? Also make sure you've been to both levels in that white house near the marketplace. I'm pretty sure you found everything at the locations you mentioned. The flute isn't loot. There's also some loot in both of the church towers.
I can't think of much more at the moment. Make sure you've been to every house! Good luck!

Have you been to
...the basement of the church? This, plus cranking up the gamma did the trick.
I was missing two purses on shelves down there. First time I was here, it was so dark that I didn't even seen the shelves! Thanks for making this.
The end movie really makes you want to see where this is going.
