No, nothing official. During testing I recall the authors debating whether or not it should count as a bonus objective, but I guess they decided not to.

Playing on Expert. I have taken the ring to the phantom, and got the special lift code. I assume I need to turn the power back on to make that lift work, but the mission fails every time I turn the power on. It appears to be the mechanist lift repairer who fails it, he immediately goes into a "What mischief is this?" spiel when the lights come back on, even though there are no knockouts anywhere near him. Or has some other AI been teleported into the mission whose arrival the player cannot anticipate?

The mechanist repairman is the only one, and if you turn the lights on while he's still making his way to the power room, he'll spew off some stuff about people wasting his time and leave. It should not count as a bust. As with several other players, I would imagine that some AI somewhere is seeing a body as soon as you turn the lights back on. You can either hunt around for that body, KO everyone first, or reload/restart. :(

Hello everyone on this forum.
Actually I'm playing this very interesting FM.
But I have a few problems.
I got the ring and dropped it on the floor in front of that smoky ghost.
Nothing happened. I can't enter the room, because this ghost kills me.
I also don't have the key to the lock near elevator.
The ghost says something but I can't understand it due to my bad hearing (I watch films with subtitles only).
Could someone say me what to do with these issues?

After you drop the ring in front of the ghost, he talks to you about his death, his son etc. and asks you to find evidence of what happened to him. After a while, he disappears.
If you try to move before he finishes speaking and disappears and try to walk through him then you will get killed.
Once he's finished speaking you should be able to move into the room and find what's needed in there for the elevator key you need. Also you'll get new objectives and a code for the elevator.
Also, I'll ask if there's a transcript of the speech available.

That should have appeared in the objectives. If not, it's3791.

Garrett: Yes, Shylock is an old... friend of mine. He sent me here to find out what happened to you.
Ghost: I s-see. As you may have gathered, I was killed in this room. The Warden was convinced I was involved in a plot to assassinate him, but it was an unfortunate mistake. By the time they figured out I was the wrong man, they had killed me. So the Warden decided to cover up my murder. They threw my body in the river, but I’m trapped here until my death is avenged.
Garrett: I’ll let your son know, and give him the ring.
Ghost: Wait! He will need more. If you can find evidence of what happened and give it to him, he may be able to get the corrupt Warden ousted, or perhaps even charged with murder, so what happened to me doesn’t happen again.
Garrett: I’ll see what I can find, but smart criminals don’t leave that kind of evidence just laying around.
Ghost: The Warden is a vain, cruel man, he no doubt kept some memento. It might be in the records room, but you’ll also want to search his his office - for that, you’ll need to take the lift, as the main door is guarded. The code for the lift is 3791.
Garrett: Wait... how do you know that?
Ghost: I was dead, but I was listening...
Garrett: No kidding. I’ll get it and then hopefully you can, you know, go rest in peace or something.
