Very cool mission:
Seems like everyone figured this out, but just how do I get to Cell 6?
Thanks
IIRC, there is a scroll saying that the cell doors can only be operated
with the Master Cell Key when the power is down

power down and the Master Cell Key, but there is a gate in front of the upper cell block where cell 6 is located. I found the button which opens it, don't know how to keep it open long enough for me to get through. If I try to enter the lower cell block I get caught right away. I appreciate the help!

You can't enter the upper cell block through the double doors, as the guard at the security post told you. You should be able to enter the lower level through the door just upstairs from the kitchen, though, and the guards in there shouldn't bust you for walking in since you look like a cook and could be delivering a meal to a prisoner. If you are busted right away in the lower cell block, then that's probably a bug and you may have to go back to an earlier save or start over. :(

KO the one patrolling on top and finally to Cell 6. Got the ring, made the ghost happy and am now in the Warden's office looking aroundThanks for the Help!

You think that's wierd, try this one.... I've tried this one 5 times from scratch.... I found that the Master cell key is the trigger.. If I steal it before the lights go out, the mission will end as soon as I take out the lights... But if I turn off the lights and try to take the key or LKO any guard in the cell block, the mission ends.. Go firgure... even uninstalled FM and re-set it.:tsktsk:

That's weird! It definitely didn't happen during betatesting and I've just gone and tried it again both ways. The game doesn't end for me. Maybe one of the dromed-savy testers will show up and be able to sort it out for you.

What exactly do you mean by "from scratch"? Did you restart the mission each time?
I ask this because if you are going back to the same saved game each time, it might be that whatever is actually ending the mission was done before that save. For example,
when the lights are off, the red emergency lights come on and they can light up areas that were previously in shadow. So if you hid a KO'd body in shadow with the lights on, it might not be in shadow when you turn the lights off. Or it could be any number of other things that really have nothing to do with the master key. Or it could be that you are being spotted and put the guards in the cell block on alert. You wouldn't know they are on alert because they will give no visible signs of it. You might try putting out the lights, going to the cell block and hiding in shadow and then wait for some time before taking the key. Let the guards forget that you are there.

Sure, I will wait a while just to see what happens. The only one I can see that would cause a problem would be the Mechanist generator worker that fixes the generator after a few minuites, I KO'd him but he's in the start point parlor. The passing patrolman for that area is hidden in the stairwell as well along with the mechanist.:joke: I'll wait a while because when I go to grab the key even when in the dark, and the gem shows it, the guard knows it.

Nicking the key off his belt isn't as simple in an undercover mission as with a normal mission. In a typical mission, as long as you're in the dark, the AI is unaware of you and you can just swipe it. However in an undercover mission, since the guards don't react to your presence, you have no way of gauging how aware of you they are or are not. If you try to take the key and get busted even in darkness, you need to sit tight in darkness without being seen or heard for a minute or two so he "forgets" he knows where you are and then try again. We saw this time and again in testing, especially with that AI in the cell block. It's still odd, though, that you had to KO the first guard and sneak past the second one to get to the stairs, those two never ever reacted to me in any way during testing.

That is awesome AI settings for the guards, as when going Undercover. They recognize you when on alert, but will go back to duty after a while.... Forgetting you.
