That's OK! :)
But don't leave the elevator in the kitchen, when you play again. ;)
I won't. :)

Well, that's the apprenice's due to New Mantle. Climbing everywhere. :erg:
If there's a way to break a mission I'll find it. :) It comes in handy when beta testing.

The door to the hut that is intended for the second phase can be opened by throwing the bedroll at the door twice. Actually this makes a good replay. The second time I took three water arrows and doused the two torches in the kitchen and one in where the guards are standing. Then I proceeded with the first phase. Knowing where the BJ was made it real easy the second time through. I wanted to play with the ouch ouch arrow. Great fun.

I thought this was fixed in version 1.1.

I didn't know there was a version 1.1. I guess I should update and check it out but I will wait until I get done messing around with my current installation. Having those torches out make it really easy. Playing the for the first time would ruin it indeed, by not knowing what is necessary for the second phase.

This was a delightful, though rather whacky adventure, often requiring more intuition (or sheer luck) than attention and logic - but of course, this is a mental journey in a mental institution... :cheeky:
I'd never been able to finish it (on Expert, with 663 loot) without repeatedly checking back and using the forum's help. Can't be grateful enough
However, I'm still trying to figure out the following:
1) What did the book switch in the Library open? I've checked all nearby rooms, nothing seemed to change...
2) Where are those Dark Potion arrows?
3) Is there anything to do in the small pagan witch girl's cell (behind the grate, in the first "dream" episode)?
4) Any secret way to open the "Easter Egg" (the floor carpet)?

1. It opened a bookshelf in front of the lab
2. There are some dark potions but you can't take it. It's just for show
3. It's just an impression for the next turn in the madhouse
4. Of course. Read some scrolls/books to get a hint. You can't get it in Garretts dream

1. The bookshelf in front of the secret door (wall) slides away, but only when you frob the switch the first time.
4. Of course. (The author asked us not to reveal this.) ;)
Edit: Oh, trix was faster. :D

Thanks a bunch!
So
I must have missed that first an only chance with the book switch...On the other hand,
if the dark potion is just a prop, then what did Gnartsch(#69) find?Again, it's a unique, very inventive, and altogether outstanding little mission. That's why I couldn't just leave those questions unanswered...
