Go up the stairs to the hut. Where Garrett mentions a button there is a table. Climb on the table and look through the window on the right (not throught the window of the hut). There you will see the button. Water arrows are adequate to press the button.

I'm exploring the vents and dumbwaiter shaft for a key, and keep getting stuck at intersections and having the elevator go through me (injuring me, and leaving me stuck in the air, needing to reload) :(

had same issue with dumbwaiter going through me, try to crouch and stay centered on the dumbwaiter platform.

I found the secret room connected to libary

I found the key to the file room

There is still a locked door in the office next to the library, no key for that.

could use a hint.

also not found anything for the dr. personal notes objective. have a dr. bedroom key, it works on nothing.

ah, it was so dark I couldn't see anything in there!

now I've gotten to the sewer and onto the pipes, but after 20 tries I just can't seem to grab the edge of the shaft... and yes, I enabled new_mantle

Don't try to grap the edge of the shaft. Try to jump onto the shaft (thing platform).

ok, I made it inside.

not found his personal notes yet.read a book behind his bed, no objective ticked off.

also, notice what looks like secret panel behind towel in his bathroom. not found a switch for it yet.

playing on hard/mad.
