FYI - The author sent over a new version that fixes a potential game breaking bug, see the original post for download.

You need
Rosie's key - it's in the kitchen.MrMunkeepants:
Don't try to grap the edge of the shaft. Try to jump onto the shaft (thing platform).
go up the pipes as far as you can,
go up pipe, then onto crocked pipe, then jump

Mad is Expert. ^_^
The switch is not far away. Search the room with the gramophone.

the bedroom where Rosie sleeps?
I will look there again.
edit: found nothing in that room resembling a switch or button, etc.. playing on hard/middle difficulty.

Look behind the basket (where the step is).

Now I've gotten onto the angled bit of the plating, but there's a gap between it and the shaft that I keep getting caught in. This is preventing me from moving forward (or back, without reloading) :grr: Speed crouching doesn't get me past it, and I don't know what to do

Hook hint... use it on the drain... you'll find one that is stopped up... I think this is only on expert though. It was aboslutely necessary to finish.
Overall a pretty cool game. Yes, it has some glitches and could use a little more polish to it, but still overall fun. I never felt it was limited to "64" either. Good use of space.

This one is a real bitch. I tried many times and failed over and over, until I gave it a rest and just "did it" one last time. Climb to the very top of the pipes and jump. If you do not hear a "gong" you blew it... or better yet the game is too "tight". I had all sorts of issues frobbing things too. Switches and some keys would not highlight. I had to back up and go forward and hit right click in a split second to get something to frob. Not too cool, but I still played through. I figure the author is fairly new to Dromed and does not knowthe little tricks to make it work. If experienced though, then shame on that person :p That was a mean trick :tsktsk: If a new person though, this was a good go at it - little bugs and all. Better than I could do at this time, for sure. So far this is my favorite of the "64" missions.

Hilarious ! :joke:
Garrett on drugs  and properly insane :p.
Nice choice of music for the intro!
I was a bit frustrated at the beginning, because I got stuck all the time in vent-shafts and in the sewers,
and also wondered why I can not exit the elevator on the kitchen-floor.
Started from scratch on Expert and got all the loot and the magic potion arrow.
Douses torches, kills spiders and can be retrieved if it does not float away.
Never found a good hint on the locked carpet cabinet, though. Lever high up? Nothing.

thank you, bjack - I tried over and over, even getting the "bong" of landing on the plate, but it only seemed to randomly work once. I agree this mission is pretty rough; exacting frob distances, guards that can hear tiny noises from far away, and step that can't quite be walked up...
now I've got the fork, the hook, and the key from the waste pit, but can't find anything to use them on
