Congrats on the release!
Finished in 32 minutes. What a lovely little mission!

That is still absolutely no excuse to jump on me like he did!
That was what I was mad about.
Some people on these forums are way too ready to start something over nothing.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with this mission and wonder what could the author do without the size limitations  Amazing and tense mission! Lovely ambients too :thumb:
Lots of nice little touches in this one, plus no real AI, just careful stepping. I disagree about the size limitations though. Contest/small missions regularly punch above their weight because the restrictions stimulate thinking. Since they're not so time intensive to build, you get to see more authors and styles too. Not that the uber-missions are bad, but I'm the sort who would rather try six different pastries than eat a whole cake.

I'm not getting any tones, even after reading the outright spoilers. I can see the darker marks around the fish, and I matched them up to the symbols, and frobbed bird, dog, cat then bat, then fish. Nothing. When am I supposed to be hearing tones? I have frobbed every single symbol at one point while trying to figure this out.
Edit: And of course, I figured it out the moment I posted. I was looking at the "map" the wrong way up, and hadn't realised the little arrow was the door.
Edit 2: Finished! And with all my rope arrows intact! :D This one was a lot of fun, although I made the mistake of quicksaving on a rope arrow a couple of times and being knocked off by the reload jerkiness.

What I did to find the right symbols was trial and a lot of error, but I got it any way! As for seeing a difference in the symbols my eyes could not see any even zooming in on them??:(

This is a great little mission - I'm loving everything about it, even though it's really difficult to accomplish. I guess my Garrett is very clumsy.
Have to start over because I didn't plan well enough my route getting back up. Should have heeded the WARNING at the beginning about surviving a fall and continuing on - but curiosity got the better of my judgment.
I would be wonderful if the author decided to expand on this mission and let us find out what's behind doors number 2,3,and 4!
Thanks Mr/Ms Anonymous for a great little mission! :thumb:

The difference you're looking for is subtle, but you may have better luck by
roping up to be directly in front of the symbols. You'll know what to look for if you
carefully read Qoja's diary (especially on Normal or Hard).

Even if you didn't fully plan your route, as long as you've
lit the various lights on the way down, you should be able to
find spots to use rope arrows and get yourself back up. And hey, soaring down the sinkhole towards your death splat can be fun. :cheeky:

This mission was atmospheric as hell. Really liked this one! A few things:
1. The little visual touches were amazing. I especially liked the dirt drifting down from the rocky ledges near the opening- that's the kind of little thing that leads to prolonged moments of "ooo's" and "aah's" for me.
2. The way darkness was used was completely brilliant. Every time I lit up a torch and revealed the area around me it was a visual showstopper (and yes, I had bloom on which the readme said to do at your own risk. In my opinion, it looked awesome).
3. That puzzle was evil, but at the same time it made complete sense. I cheated after feeling hopelessly stumped, and then felt really dumb for missing all of the obvious hints. This probably would have been extremely satisfying to solve on my own. My advice is to HONESTLY TRY to do it yourself, and unlike me, actually think about the given clues instead of frobbing everything in sight like a jackass.
4. I was a little disappointed that grabbing the treasure didn't result in those doors opening and releasing a flood of haunts or something. It would have made the escape feel a lot more daring. Anyway, you win for prettiest treasure chest in the contest (and most retina-searing when bloom is turned on).
This is one of my favorites so far. :thumb:

The symbols were a bit hard to see, even zoomed in, but you can rope arrow up to them. Problem is, the wooden lintels don't look wooden and the rope arrows only seem to stick if you aim just above them.
The animal rhyme clue in the diary suggests that a compass/clock face is involved in determining which wall to start with but it's a...red herring...as far as I can tell. I think that's what confused me the most. Maybe I missed a readable that ties it together.
I loved the polished tomb walls/floor. Is that a NewDark feature?
