I've just replayed this for the... n-th time, and there's something I've never figured out:
Once you acquire the Talisman of Life, a Hammer Haunt appears from the direction you came from, forcing you to flee through a secret passageway (the one covered with anatomical schematics) and down a flooded cave passage. Near the end of this passage you can rope arrow up and continue the mission.
However, if you pass the rope arrow spot and go all the way to the end of this passage, there's a secret door there with a slightly different texture.
How do you open it?
EDIT: Technically, this all happened in OB Gold, but I found this thead first, and I guess it's the same.

I really need help and reading through 30 odd pages trying to find the solution is exhausting, not to mention that I have to read thru some spoilers to see if they refer to my problem.

well walkthrough or not, I'm having to ask anyway. How do I cut the wire in the telescope room? I expect I'll cringe when I hear how simple it is.
Another question. On the second floor in the empty room with the safe, I don't have anything that will open it. my picklocks won't work and I don't have a key for it. The walkthrough just says to open it.

I posted in that post, but noone has answered yet (I know, it's only been a few hours, but usually I get responses right away)
I need help opening the safe in the empty room on the 2nd floor.
The walkthrough says to cut the banner on the wall, Slice the banner on the wall to reveal the Wall Safe. Open it, frob the switch, and collect the painting of the Hunting Dragon (objective).
I've done that, did that before resorting to the walkthrough, but I cannot open that safe!! My lockpicks won't open it and I've nothing else that will open it.

There are several different 'safe keys' mentioned in the walkthrough.
Please check which one is the right one for you and where to find it.
Oh, and please don't open new posts... just makes the forum less good to use since there are soo many threads open for some missions already.
If someone can provide an answer, they will do so in this thread. :cool:
For cuttion the wire: I assume you have to use your sword - after you switched off the electric current.
