:erg: starting a new thread about the same thing won't give you a quicker response. Whenever someone who knows the answer logs in they can reoly but just as the game takes patience so does the help. :)

gnartsch is correct, you just use your sword to slice through the exposed wire. If you're having trouble with it, try shifting your position. Get closer or even back up to get the right angle.
To unlock that safe, you need the Wall Safe key. It's hidden in the office across from the Display room. Check the wastebasket behind the desk.
As already noted, please don't start another thread because you're impatient. I understand that it can be frustrating to wait on an answer but sometimes it takes awhile for a person who can help to visit the forum. You can also try searching the thread rather than reading through all the posts. :)

I'm close to the end and the Octagonal tower I'm thinking of is where you go to get the talisman of life. I don't see where the one statue is facing the wrong way. I'm supposed to go through a lowered sarcophagus, according to the walkthrough

On the top level of the area with the octagonal tower there's a hallway with a bunch of murals on the wall of what look like mummies laying in coffins. One on the top row is inverted, jump up and press a hidden switch near it. After that, jump back onto the octagonal tower and look down from the far side opposite the hallway. One of the coffins below has lowered, revealing an alcove. You can rope arrow down into it. This is all from memory, so hopefully that helps.

Me again, I have been trying for about 10 mins to hit that bloody floating book in the church. I have leaned forward, sideways, I've tried underhand sword hitting and over hand sword hitting, I have tried from different sections in that round beam, and that book mocks me.
