How do I get into the sewers?
I've used the hatch switch but it doesn't seem to do anything, I haven't been able to find a hatch anywhere.
You know, the one with the empty coffin. Look up at the top of the walls and you should see the open hatch if you hit the switch for it already.
I keep getting amazed at how complex this level is:D
It is a lot of fun. On par with many of the original missions.
Go into the tower (the one with the telescope) and look for a switch near the table, a panel will open and you can cut the blue wire, then you can grab them.
Ok, I have managed to backtrack more often than I wanted too in an effort to complete all the objectives.
Now i have found myself with the last objective to help me end this nightmare and can't seem to finish.
I think i need holy water to free the sword and can't find any viles laying around-let alone any working fountains to douse my water arrows in. my goal is getting the holy sword out of a stone block. I should have achieved this long before i embarked on this huge journey.
the only place i remember a holy water fountain is in the church and its waaaay to far away from where i am at.
can someone toss me a clue here=)
By the way, I laughed myself to death when i had a guard run out from the inner balcony so i could follow him back- till he opened the door and i dashed in and ripped the goods on a stool, then bailed out over the balcony. His comments brought extreme laughter.
Extremely Excellent game!!!
-the church organ was a real special touch-the hammers got pissed and came up to see who was tampering with it and got panned handled. He he
This game took me by complete surprise-when i started out with easy puzzles like,
sprinklers activated by a switch in a nearby shed to get a guard to leave his post-brilliant
The fire breathing goul hammer Head was a great tool for eliminating the "guards on STRIKE " with several game reloads -HAHA
I couldnt of gotten through alot on this mission with out the help of all the taffers in hear thanks to all!!
Thanks,
"Please help with the sword issue":eww:
If you are playing on Easy or Hard, you need to go back to the chapel, to the priest's room, and then I think to his secret room where you'll find some holy water (I played on Expert so I'm not certain). If you didn't find that secret, look closely around his bedroom for the trigger.
If you are playing on Expert, you need to do several things in the crypts:
(1) Across from the door with the wood barring it, there is another metal door you can pick. In there is a switch that opens the air vents (there's a note somewhere that talks about the air vents being related to the sewers).
(2) Go to where Robert Farrington's coffin is on display (the nice baroque music will be playing). You should see a small platform near the ceiling with an opening - set a rope arrow in the ceiling nearby and go in.
(3) Once you enter the sewers, turn left - there's a metal door with a Hammer on it. Inside, there are two switches - push that one that enables the holy water (the priest's diary talks about forcing the pipes back to normal water).
Retrace your steps back to the chapel. I assume you have the sponge from the green house - if you don't, you'll need it :) Release the sponge onto the altar. Go to the fount and frob it, making your water arrows holy. Shoot one into the sponge. Put the holy sponge back into your inventory. It will remain holy, no matter how many times you throw it at something.
Have fun!

dealasteal,
I believe that Melissa's directions assume that you have already disabled all the hammerites in the church. That is not so easy. If the hammerites are still there, then
when you wet your sponge with holy water, they will hear the holy arrow being shot and come after you. The way I avoided that was to run with holy arrow in hand all the way down to the family crypt. There you can set down the sponge and shoot it without being heard.
I like what you say about having to retrace your steps all the way to the church. The mission seems large, but it is really not. It is about a 3 minute trip, I would guess.:)
