'Playing round 2 on expert: still (like the first time) having troubles finding anything in [SPOILER]the riddler's tomb. I listened and acted on that, so was able to find my way down into the tomb. Now what? I tried to put down the gemstone bloodtear to try and set it on fire, but that option is impossible. What does the shield on the wall mean. I found a fire and water arrow. Is there a use for them here?[/SPOILER]

Gloria - [SPOILER] Use the water arrow to douse the torch burning in the hallway, then turn around and look at the far wall of the main room. That round plaque will move aside and you'll see a teardrop shape behind it. Hit it with the fire arrow and then check the statues around the sides of that room. One of them will have moved back. Climb up in there. [/SPOILER]

WOW!!:eek: Just finished. Took about 5:20 game time. Missed about 650 in loot...not too bad.
Eshaktaar, this is about as good as Thief gets. Congratulations on the release. I remember seeing pics of the organ many moons ago. [SPOILER] I had to frob the organ just before wacking the book with the sword. :ebil: It made for the perfect soundtrack for the last few moments of the mission.[/SPOILER] Now I just have to figure out how to get that thing out of there.:eww:
I had trouble [SPOILER] finding the sword. It took some doing as I had missed it when I first got to that area.
The frying pan was too cool. It took me a while to find it so I got to practice my ghost skills while in the manor. The sound effect was perfect. Where did you get it or did you roll your own?[/SPOILER]

ok, needing some help if I could.
Here is what I have so far.
I got the vault open
Key to lock in library??????
Key to 2 atic doors???????
Key to locked door in Burrick chamber???????
What is with the note from the hammer?
I found the switch prior to that and hit it, but I dont see that it did anything.
In the other area there is a what appears to be a secret door, but I have no idea on how to open it.
The sponge in the garden.....sure it is for something but cant guess unless it goes to the family tomb and put in the water tub.
While in the dumb waiter, you see a skelton in a room, I'm guessing this is the room that is blocked off, but can you do anything there?
Across from the library and to the left there is an office that I have yet found a way to open either.

Hey, I just wanted to post a quick note to Eshaktaar about this amazing mission.
I downloaded it a few days ago based on the raves of this thread...and WOW!! I was very, very impressed. A very solid design and thief experience. Great job Eshaktaar!!! Definetely one of the best Thief fan missions I've played. Great story, great attention to detail, no dicernable bugs, challenging puzzles, great taffing fun. The holy sword... the sponge...a sprinkling system...the horn...all the secrets....incredible!! Thank you for the huge amount of time you must have put into this masterpiece.
I been playing on Expert and am mostly done with the mission. I've completed two "optional" objectives (the diary and Benny...is there more?) and even figured out the "riddler's room". The only place I got super frustrated on was the hint about "looking to the stars" for the vault lever combination. I had to search this thread for hints on how to get past that. Everyting else I figured out on my own....very challenging I must say. I'm nearly 4 hours into this adventure.
I'm now at the very end?... I am about to confront and destroy the evil in the Hammerite chapel. Wish me luck.
I had to stop playing last night at about 1:30 am....I'll hit it again tonight and see if I can't finally finish the entire mission. I know I'm close...The story seems to be coming to an end and I'm way over the required 5000 loot requirement.
Anyway, Eshaktaar...great job!!! Thanks for a great thief adventure!
Anyone who has not yet played this mission. To them I say "download now!!" highly recommended!!

I think I've a problem in translating all that I read into its wright meaning. There're so many words in those letters, scrolls and books that are all known to you, since it's your own language. For me is sometimes is a bit difficult to get the exact meaning of a word.
But ............ the good news is: I finished the game, playing on expert in 3hours and 44 minutes, getting 7455 of the 8000 loot and 7 out of 8 secrets.
Eshaktaar: this mission is truly the BEST I ever played. You've got a lot of compliments about this and you deserve them all. There were such intens creepy moments, noises, spectaculair sights a.s.o. and as for that skillet ........... LOL to hit a hammer with it. Always wanted to wack someone with a fryingpan....... so thanks for this oppertunity!:devil:
Everything worked well in the game. I only have one problem: I can't frob the organ. It lights up, but I don't hear anything. Am I doing something wrong?

playwme, if you're playing the German version (v2.0), Brother Sorven's last note might show up empty. This is due to a " I forgot to insert in the corresponding text file. You can either download version 2.0b (the *final* one), or edit the text file yourself: Go into your Thief folder (while having Ominous Bequest installed), then go into the books\german directory. Open the file sorve02.str with Notepad (or any other text edit program) and put a " at the end of the text. Save the file, and you're done. It'll show up properly in game, then.
Gloria Creep, sorry, I don't know any Dutch. Otherwise I could have translated the mission ;) Good to see you could play it through nevertheless with some help :)
I'm not sure why the organ doesn't play. Do you have the latest version of DarkLoader (v4.1) installed? I think that former versions didn't support mp3 files.

Get into the burrick elevator
Get into the locked doors in the cathedral
Get into the room behind the boobytrapped corridor
Ive been playing all night and all goals but the amulet are done.
Im seeing double, please help...
