I've got an organ.1.mp3 file in the snd/FARSFX folder in the zip, but nothing plays when I frob the organ at mission end. The file plays OK through Media Player. Any ideas?

Do you have the latest version (v4.1) of DarkLoader installed? It should automatically convert the mp3 file into a wav (organ1.wav) when you install the FM. Earlier versions do not support mp3 files.

I need help with two things:
1. [SPOILER]I cannot find the switch for the door in the family's tomb.[/SPOILER] I have tried everything and really need a specific hint.
2. [SPOILER]I cannot get up the ladder and into the little hole in the Dawn Mages Libary. I can't make the ladder stop by the hold and I can't climb up fast enough to get in. Can't get off a rope arrow into the hole either. Is there something in there? Is it too small?[/SPOILER]

Yes I'm running Dark Loader 4.1. The file hadn't been converted in the Thief 2 folder. I've just tried converting it to a .wav with Goldwave - no luck, and then renamed organ1.mp3 oldorgan1.mp3. Still no luck. Should I uninstall, reinstall and run through the mission again?
The machine is an Athlon XP2600 running XP Home with Realtek AC97 sound.

[SPOILER]1. If you come from Armion Drake's tomb and follow the way past the dead burrick and the miner skeleton, you'll come to a dead end. Shortly before you get to the end of the narrow corridor, there's a switch to your right (if you're playing version 2.0, that is. The earlier version has the switch to your left, opposite the secret door it controls).
2. The hole between the books is empty.[/SPOILER]
ffox, try installing another FM and then reinstalling Ominous Bequest. Near the end of the install process it should say in the status bar:
Install mission: Converting *path*\organ1.mp3...
I can't say what's wrong if that doesn't happen. Sorry.

[SPOILER]I haven't gotten to Armion's tomb yet. I'm talking way back under the church - the tomb where Elizabeth and the other family members are burried. There is a face on the far wall, and I can lean through and see a tunnel, but can't find a switch.[/SPOILER]

[SPOILER]Don't mess around there with that hidden door...you will come across it later from the other side. Some people said it was possible to get that door open or go through it and you don't want to do that. Just wait on it for now...[/SPOILER]
