WOW!! I finally finished! It took me well over 4 hours - and that's just the logged game time, not including all my reloads! I don't know why it always takes me longer than everyone else, but boy did I enjoy this mission!! It actually seemed like multiple missions. But, I spent all that time and only got 7 of 8 secrets and only 7100 in loot. How did I miss so much?!?
GREAT MISSION, ESHAKTAAR!! You really know how to make an entrance into the world of Thief FMs! Thank you for the hours of frustration, fright and FUN!

well... thanks for the Riddler help...
i had shot my rope arrow into the beam from the side, and it continued to clank off... so i went and jumped into the crypt from above, and slid the wall for no damage... when i cleaned out the treasure and came back to the old campfire i still clanked the rope arrow. i grumbled a bit, and then after a little tequila, i stucj the arrow in the light instead... and then went happily up to the top :)
Thanx

Thanks Nightwalker - it may only have been a week but it felt like a lot longer!! I clicked on spoiler but didn't get a box as I have done before when quoting - have just tried it again and the box comes up -wahay. I will be able to be a well-behaved poster in the future! And now's my chance - I'm stuck.
I'm hoping I haven't done this all the wrong way round but re: the lava area
Being stuck at the Riddler's Tomb I went back and found the burrick pit. Did that bit, have been through the water, done the gems and Kadar(?) has gone and I have the new objective - I'm now stuck cos I can't find a way out - There are two locked doors in this area but I have no keys to open them,
Sorry guys - found a key at last - that's what comes of creeping round the place rather than boldly going!

Damn good mission Eskhataar!
It has it all
- Very nice story, just a right amount of mystique/evil and everyday taffin'
Two nice surprises in storyline, in the beginning when I found out that this isn't a "standard" mansion mission,
"errand boy" surprise was also quite good.
Readables that are not too short or long and provoke just the right feelings.
Right amount of humour in it.
Integrated well with gameplay, made you "care" about things.
etc.
- Very beatiful and carefully planned level.
Perhaps a tad too complex geometry in places(slow) for DE, but still nice and interesting to explore.
Not too small or large.
Good looking custom textures/objects.
- No technical errors AFAIK except that button thing (Didn't bother me).
- Excellent and interesting gameplay.
Puzzles and finding switches - made sense and wasn't frustrating.
Optional goals were fitting and interesting.
Nice problems that were hard but no too hard.
-And everything else that I can't remember right now.
Overall very well thought out, satisfying and challenging mission.
Three hurrahs to Eskhataar!

Where is that lever near the different body relief. I think I found the relief (It's the one with the face sideways, right?) But I don't see no switch.
Ottoj55 on 28/9/2003 at 16:05
shoot a rope arrow up into the beam above, one of the bricks near the relief will pull out when you frob it, revealing the switch.
Jake on 28/9/2003 at 16:09
Oh wait, there's two reliefs with sideways faces! So where's the odd one? I don't see the brick I'm sposed to pull out.
