Go West in the first sewer nearly to the end, then turn South and go through the arch to the parallel sewer. Get out of the water on the South side, then walk along to the East and climb the ladder on the South wall. Open the hatch and follow the stone passage round to another ladder. Turn round at the top of this ladder and the switch will be facing you.
There is just one tiny problem, and I am not sure how to go about it. I sure do hope it is the same passageway that I am in..
Opened up hatch, climbed out, but once I get into passageway, there is a closed gate preventing me from going any further along that stone passage to get to the other ladder
I am not sure if its a bug, or it is suppose to be like that, or if there is a way to
open gate before I enter the sewer
So I am really stuck at this point

I think there's something you must still need to do. I loaded up the mission and started from when I first entered the crypts.
The passageway is blocked by the gate you mention at the beginning. It stayed blocked until after I got the Talisman of Life and then when I checked, it was open. I don't know exactly what triggers it but I think if you go through the walkthrough and see if you missed any steps in the crypt area, it might solve your problem.
Scott,
The gate in the sewers only opens when you've satisfied all other objectives (except for "find another way out", "don't kill anybody" and the optional ones). You'll know that you're ready to leave when Garrett says "The only thing left for me to do is to make my exit".
ok, I missed one objective, Finding out info about the mages order below the manor, didnt satisify that objective..
Any clue as to where I may find this info, that piece of evidence seems to elude me..
Thanks Eshaktaar

Well, ghosting done! Both fun and challenging! Four 1st alerts that I was unable to remove, none that were the result of them seeing me, though. 2 from opening doors, and 2 from switching off lights. And then of course the burricks...
Equipment used was 2 Water Arrows & 2 Fire Arrows, to finish objectives. Had some trouble getting water from the holy water fountain without getting alerted. Had to wait a while until all guards turned away. And then afterwards sneak out to shoot the sponge before the arrows wore off.
On to the 7th Crystal! So many FMs I haven't played, oh thank you world of endless joy!! And thanks again Eshaktaar for OB, I liked it!

Try The Antiquary Letter - it's
in the safe in the Library
Scott8688 on 29/11/2003 at 18:04
I seem to have found the necessary info, I completely forgot about the library, was certain that the info was down below..
Thanks for all who offered his/her help
I have completed the Fan mission..
I would certainly have thought that this fan mission could be a part of The Thief gaming world..
Masterfully done, well thought out, put together..
Best one, lots of great puzzles and amazing story line..

OMIGOSH!! This mission is so cool! I finally found all of the items in the will (that horn took me forever to figure out for some reason...i'm not so bright) and was making my escape thinking "Wow, what a great mission" and feeling rather proud of myself for getting through it when I
stumbled into the trap in the burrick arena
once I got out of that situation I
found my way into the mages chambers and went through the whole ressurection shenanigans only to be left for dead a 2nd time!!
the story twists are amazing and I am astounded by how this mission just keeps going and going.
I am currently:
on my way back to the gamma chamber through the caves
and can't wait to see how the whole thing turns out ...I just wanted to say again thanks for such a well crafted mission...it has just about everything I love in a mission in it...good story, riddles, puzzles, sneaking, a little bit of climbing, lots of hidden areas, beautiful mansion, creepy tomb, some good scary moments, arcane references, humor, the list goes on and on...heck the only thing missing was some thieves highway/city action (which it sounds like we are going to get in Unholy Alliance..yay!).
alright, enough fanboy gushing from me...
Oh, I also wanted to say thanks to Silver Sorrow for his review at Hangar 16....it is what actually got me to play the mission in the first place...I noticed they now have someone doing "mini thief reviews"...are you going to continue doing reviews there? I hope so they are always entertaining and informative.

Ok, I'm playing on hard, and I've got all objectives checked off except "find another way out".
I'm in front of the hause entrance, where the fm started.
Erm, how do I get out ?!
This FM is a master piece.
