[spoiler] I cannot see any "blue wire" to cut in the telescope room! Am I doing something wrong? I am trying to disable the security system in the upper floor so it does not shock me when I try to take the valuables. all Isee is the telescope that shows me the moon when I try to click on it.
Also there are two safes...one in the library and one in another room that I cannot seem to find the keys for! I have killed or knocked out everyone and have went down to the tombs...there is some kind of a bowl sticking out of the wall I do not understand what I am supposed to do with either.
I also need the locations of diary entries parts 3 and 4.
I have tried to read through the thread to this fan mission....but it is so long and hard to keep up with because different people are stuck in different places. I would appreciate any help to these questions. Thanks.[/spoiler]

In the telescope room
take a closer look under the table.The two safes: [spoiler]The one in the library requires a key you'll get later. The key for the other safe is where the testament can be found. If you haven't discovered the testament: Go into the room named Study on the map and examine the waste basket.[/spoiler]
The bowl in the tombs is of no importance, you can safely ignore it.
There's also a very handy walkthrough with spoiler tags over at thiefmissions.com: (

Thanks! That walkthrough is what I needed! They usually don't have walkthroughs for thief fan missions, but this one needs one I think.

As you say, many missions still don't have walkthroughs but Nightwalker and I are doing our best to produce them for FMs that need/merit one.

I would just like to put in my 2 cents and say that I have been using walk-thrus for many games, starting back in 1993, and the ones produced by Ffox and Nightwalker are the best I have ever seen.

Started Ominous Bequest short time ago and it's just great, Congrats, Eshaktaar. I'm playing on expert and got quite far without additional help.
But right now I'm stuck for I can't find the pole nedded to open the attic entrance, and I also didn't manage to find the number needed to open the vault. The most urgent thing is how to open the boarded door with those rope noises inside. Maybe one of you taffers might tell me how to get the walktrough, that would be great!:thumb:

[SPOILER]pole is in the vault with the switches in a funny pattern at the entrance, opening that is a whole different challenge.
the boarded door can't be opened from the outside, keep playing and you'll get in there another way.[/SPOILER]
