I'm playing on expert and got quite far without additional help.
Based on your question, you're not nearly as far along as you think! :D But that's one of the great things about this mission, it keeps surprising you with a new twist that extends the story and play.

I remember first time I played, and I thought the same thing(around 11 PM). Then my wife and I stayed up another 4 or 5 hours finishing what proved to be one of the most amazing, detailed and humongous FM's that we've ever seen. Total time to finish (iirc) ~8 hours!
Off-topic : BTW, I like your name Rockbass - I like anything with bass in the name! Mine is directly referring to voice-type, (my wife is Jolyn, and I am her bass). But I also like the bass one gets out of big speakers - I had a '79 Firebird with two 15" subs and a Rockford Punch amp. Yeah, bass rocks!

This is my second time around with Ominous Bequest; didn't finish the first time (my PC crashes every 18 - 24 mos. - it's always something!). I am definitely enjoying this FM!! I'm probably not even half way through yet, but I don't even care if there
are zombies somewhere further on!
And that should tell you just how much I like this FM! Great job, Eshaktaar! :thumb:

its really well layed out, as soon as you finish what you think is the mission, twist, and more to do, and the little side things, not directly related but included are great, i might play this one again soon.

Hmmmmm... even though I'm in a rock band, I immediately thought of fish.
Course round these parts there's no rockbass, just largemouths...

I'm currently playing this FM and liking it. I'm kind of stuck right now, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Great job here, Eshaktaar.:thumb:

To Jolynsbass,
wow you're a bass enthusiast, too? Great! Yeah, bass does rock, though my family are thinking different (I'm in grade 12) Who is your favourite bassist?
To anyone posting in this thread,
Thanks a thousand for your skillful advice and for caring about my kinda patienceless questions.
Rockbass rocks!;)
PS: Devillock, I sure do know that bass is a fish, too, but I got kinda used to calling the instrument rockbass cause sometimes you tell people your playing bass they're thinking about wood bass. I don't mean anything negative about wood bass for I really love the sound of skilled wood bass players ( especially in jazz), but the two instruments are completely different in a way.
Devilock on 2/4/2006 at 13:48
by wood bass I assume you refer to "upright" bass? Let me tell you those can be hell to record.

How about you talk about the music stuff in PMs and let the thread get back to it's original purpose, okay?
jolynsbass on 2/4/2006 at 18:22
Back to it's original purpose, or close to it, anyhow -
It's been 2-3 years since we got Ominous Bequest... How goes the work on the sequel? (I know it was named Unholy Alliance at one point... is it still?)
Really, this has got to be one of the best FM's ever, and we are all anxiously awaiting the sequel - am I right, or am I right? :D
(Rockbass, my favorite bassist would be my wife - she plays the upright bass. We can consider that to be a fitting end to the off-topic part of this conversation.)
