I had a press clipping about that for a while.
The USA bombed an Al-Quaeda training camp, announced that Bin Laden was dead and Al-Quaeda shattered.
Then they found out, picking through the ruins, that it was a Mujahadeen (Read Northern Alliance) camp the whole time.

Just imagine Viktoria stretching her wooden arms out to him.
Have you forgotten them ? Well, I added the poll to help me decide exactly what to put in the mission, and since there is neither Constantine nor Victoria in Thief2, I didn't think of it. :erm: (I suppose I could import the Trickster to Thief2 for this mission ;) )

The model of the trickster is, but not the skin, or any of the other stuff.

This sounds like more fun than Creature Clash! Can't wait. :D
Perhaps when we finally capture Osama we should force him to play it too. :ebil:

Well folks, it'll be out next week. It's a two (2) mission campaign, where you can kill osama in numerous ways! (Including a vehicle crash-test area, with binladen as the crashtest dummy) ;)

Well, my mission was sent to the circle yesterday.

"Take out this one evil guy and end terrorism forever."
It is quite the trip to read the comments from 2002/2003 in various threads about this mission now, in August 2021. Lots of gleeful anticipation of getting to virtually torture and kill Osama bin Laden, of bringing down the "Blade of Vengeance" and the "Hammer of Righteousness" upon him. At the same time, William the Taffer couldn't even spell "Afgahnastan" correctly.
I played this on Normal. Not the worst mission, but hard to stomach.

It was rather a different time (perceptually) for Americans in the early 2000s.
