Superb mission with some real heart-stopping moments. Playing on Expert I left one of the guards battling a zombie at the front gate...
while I climbed up a rope arrow to avoid the melee in the courtyard altogether -- why didn't I think of that sooner!!!???
...he was still fighting it when I got back at the end of the mission!
This is definitely going in my personal top ten!

Thanks, I did not know there was one :)

Wow, thanks everyone.
And thanks for the walkthrough ffox, I didn't realise that it's 'available' already! :) (all the players can still post their questions here though if they want to, otherwise I'll be too bored!;))

That'll teach you to give me a free hand when to publish :sly:
So you don't go to Cheap a few times a day to check the number of downloads? I'll do it for you - 542 at this moment in time :thumb:
To all players - I hereby forbid you to use the (
http://www.thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=ProfaneAscension) walkthrough. Ask Tomi the questions here instead :D

Hehe, that's not at all necessary. :p
Let's put it this way: find the solutions for all your problems in this FM in ffox's walkthrough, but don't forget to write some feedback here. ;)

Ah, a remake of an old favourite. Very nice - although, to be completely honest, I still prefer the binary shadowing of Thief 1. :laff:

Wow. You must be the only one who liked the original version. :p
Or at least the only one who thinks that it was better than the new one!

Actually, I loved the original, too. :erm:

I just finished getting the golden skull, and now I'm trying to return to the kitchen... but a new zombie has spawned in the corridor with the energy-ball shooter and the bright statue.
I can't figure out how to get past him without alerting him: he's staring directly at the corridor where I must pass. :weird: :weird:
Is there another way out of that area? Yes, I know I can kill him, but I'm working on a ghost, and I don't want to blow it.
Thanks,
Dafydd
