Great mission and fun so far. I'm not sure but it seems like the graphics are super giant pixels with some textures so I'm not sure if that's on purpose or I need to update something. Also, I'm not super excited about the perpetually spawning spiders in the corridor wit the narrow pool ... I completely ran out of arrows thinking they'd stop showing up....:joke:

Thanks for the advice, I concluded that something is wrong with my remote hard drive where my missions folder is stored. As a temporary solution, I copied the mission to the local disc and now I can play it :D

Texture filtering has been disabled by default. This is why it looks extra pixelated. You can disable this by opening fm.cfg and putting a ; in front of the line that says:
tex_filter_mode 0

Thanks, that solved the issue.

Also,
I'm not super excited about the perpetually spawning spiders in the corridor wit the narrow pool ... I completely ran out of arrows thinking they'd stop showing up....:joke: There are some spiders nests around that area above your head. The spiders will stop spawning if you destroy those nests with fire, as a nearby note hints.

You can also use your sword to destroy them, if they are low enough to hit.
Just finished on normal difficulty with 6/7 secrets and only about 2300 loot. As usual a fanstastic mission from you nicked! :thumb:
Would have loved to know even more about the princes and also the adventurers, it was so interesting.
While I didn´t find them particularly scary (luckily, otherwise I´d dropped it immediately), I totally loved the alternative beasts, especially the mushroom turned guys.
The first place I entered was the spider one, which was for me also the hardest one, cause the little ones´d just respawn if you don´t hit the nests first. So it´s either ghosting or being super loud and kill everyone and everything :cheeky:
I assume on expert difficulty there are alot more enemies? I´m playing with the thought of replaying it on expert, but only if it´s not getting too frustrating with the enemies:laff: :)

Man, I despise these kinds of missions. Give me a normal human landscape any day....
Played on Normal, because I just don't need to play this with more AI in the way. I had to play it in six installments or so, because I just had to have frequent breaks. Ughh. Horror...:(
3hrs 19min 33s
2518 out of 3085 loot
4/7 secrets found
Damage dealt 1342 and received 23
Just an excellent layout. Inventive new AI. Excellent mood altering music.
I'm *@#~ing glad I'm done it, but it is just another shining example of Nick Dablin's mastery of the art form. Absolutely *@#~ing excellent....once again!

I love dungeon-crawling in general and especially in Thief, so this was an awesome way for me to spend a couple chilly winter nights. I felt an intense atmosphere of dread, with dangerous areas nicely balanced with quieter (but still spooky) sections. My favorite enemies were the fungus men, and the little spiders and the nests. I never got lost, thanks to the distinct sections, and I liked that there were some surprises later on to keep me from getting too comfortable or safe. Despite the lo-fi description, I thought there was plenty of detail. Lots of unique and memorable scenes (such as the fates of the previous adventurers, with that lovely musical cue). Oh, and that ghost effect was pretty cool--I haven't seen that before. I played on Hard and did my best to fight, hide, or flee whenever I screwed up and managed to squeak out the exit with 3 health. Only 3 secrets, too... I will be replaying on Expert.

There are one or two extra enemies on Expert, but the main difference is the loot requirement.
