Just finished this, awesome mission skacky. I loved the layout of the mansion, sometimes a bit confusing but not overly so. And I don't ever remember feeling so freaked out in an FM than when everyone suddenly disappeared! Super tense, I assumed something/someone was there, somewhere, looking for me. Creepy as hell.
Someone asked this earlier in the thread, and I didn't see a response. Is it possible to grab the recipe, hit the loot goal, leave, and finish the mission, without ever facing Barlowe? I came close on loot, but just didn't have quite enough.

This mission is beautiful, but has anyone managed to get over 30 fps? Not sure if it's an engine limitation or something that can be overcome with newer cpu/gpu.
Seems like it barely utilizes available system resources while running ~20fps.

Yep, it's an engine thing. Doesn't matter how good your system is. But it should only happen in some outdoor areas with very long views. The 50-55 framerate is an improvement to what it was for some in betatesting.
Ah, well that answers my question. I guess the engine just can't utilize all of those cores and shaders.

Yes, I did so, playing this mission earlier. However, if you do this, you'll miss a lot of the mission, specifically:
viewing the cutscene in the library, being able to explore the library, exploring the lab, exploring the wine cellar, exploring the mausoleum, potentially rescuing a imprisoned woman, and of course, defeating Barlowe. I don't think it's possible on expert difficulty
to bypass Barlowe, but it is possible on the two easier difficulties.

So many new Thief FMs lately. Christmas comes early this year. Can't wait to play this one!
Congrats on the release, skacky.

I've just finished the mission and it was a fantastic one. Kind of reminded me of the Nosferatu FM (locked inside a castle with an otherworldly being and trying to figure out how to get rid of him). The strongest point of this mission is the architecture, the castle exterior is simply wonderful. The falling autumn leaves were also a favourite for me.
The monster was prone to get stuck in doorways so I could maneuver around him with ease, didn't have to use the bear traps, flashbombs or anything. The explosive with the fuse was also a nice touch (after inspector Garrett we have sapper Garrett :) ).
A big Thank you again for skacky for this FM!

A more proper way to find Gloria Creep's beloved:
On the first floor there's an outside balcony on the south side. There's a tiny ledge running along the balcony, and along the entire southern side of the house. If you can shimmy along this ledge all the way to the easternmost part of the castle, you can drop down from there onto the rocks and find Dewdrop in a crevice.
Getting out involves sliding along the crevice to the waters outside of the castle. Tricky, but doable.
Meanwhile I can't find one of the keys - the one to the cell. Any advice?
EDIT: Nevermind, found it shortly after posting. High time it was my turn for that to happen! :D

Hello all,
I have 2 problems:
1. I also get the error message about fleeing etc. I do not know what version of Angelloader/New Dark I am using. I am so blown away with all of your computer tech savvy brains! I just downloaded Angelloader at one time when I started playing fan missions a long time ago. I just download the missions and play them. I dont know how to do any of the fancy things I might need to do. I have had to update it before but it was so confusing and eventually I got in working but I dont know what I did!
Is someone able to help me set everything up to the updated versions so I can play the way it is recommended? I also dont know if I have any mods or patches either. ACK! I am willing to talk one on one with someone because I will not understand any of these details on what to do (Even if I look at the instructions threads).
2. Beautiful mission! I am so eager to get to play it but unfortunately the doors will not open! I have picked the exterior doors but it will not frob open. I went to every door, and the last place I tried was the balcony where I can rope up to a white hallway with pillars connected to the stairs and lake where you first come in. The guards were even stuck at the door and I could see them walking and swords through the door.
I'm not sure if this is an issue related to not having everything updated because I probably don't have the set up I should have, because other players seem to be playing with no issues.
I thank you so much!

You have to update to NewDark 1.28 to play this mission. See the first post in the thread for instructions.
