yes, the physics model was incorrect, a common mistake actually, stand as far back as possible when you frob it.
It worked! Thanks! :D

I've searched this forum as well as the KoMaG and The Circle, but can't find any walkthrus on this one. It's been so long since I've played this older FM that I've totally forgotten how in blazes to get into the mansion (without getting massacred, that is)!!!
So far I've got my gear, and the keys to the armory & wine cellar, I've also gone down in the crypts & stopped when I saw there were a bunch of zombies roaming around a central room which I believe leads to the sewers (been down there, too). But I cannot remember how to get into the mansion!!!
I remember having a rope arrow last time I played, but can't remember if I find that at the beginning or get that in the armory?
Any help would be appreciated! :)

You can get in through sewer near the poophouses in the corner. Once there, you will find a door that is pickable leading into the kitchen area. That's one of a few ways.

Found it! I just wasn't going far enough along the sewer walkway. Thanks much, Don!

No problem. Personally I enjoy going through the front door. :sly:

By the time I read your response I'd already gone in through the side door (with the watcher). Would have made it too, but I bumped into the desk in the next room & the guards ganged up on me. ;)

If you are a wack'n'stacker, just make lots of noise out of their view and gradually get them to follow the noise into a dark area, alt+W to lean forward, and wack'em unaware. I love clearing out the whole outside guard, and lower floor indoor guard detachment without going inside. Sometimes I can even get attention of the second floor patroller and lure him outside.
Doesn't this mission just stand the test of time so nobly? :thumb:
