Lol. I took him home anyway.

Me too. :p
But I'm one secret shy, and about 900'ish loot short. So I've got more exploring to do... :D

Most excellent first mission!!
Good mix of atmosphere and enemies.
The silence in the prison was SCARY! I loved the tension!
I look forward to your next mission!!

Can someone remind me where Bennett's house is? I've been there, done the prison but can't find his house again!
Head towards the town/church. Go thru a few gates and building then its maybe the first real towny courtyard you come to. Just before two upturned carts on a wall on yr right.
OK - quite missable if brightness is turned a bit low so not surprised I passed it ten times while searching! Bit of a flat ending; I'd have liked to have got inside Bennet's place, maybe got some special loot to round it off nicely.
Amazing mission - a lot of rough edges and blank rooms (a one-apple market and a pub with no beer!) but who cares when it exceeded my expectations by about 900% ! It proves you don't need wonderful eye candy, amazing architecture, clever tricks, etc. to make a good mission. Actually I thought the terrain, textures, and architecture got better as it progressed. The ambient light was also too high so most places had poor or no shadows at all and you get AI can't see you even though it doesn't seem that dark. Lower ambient with more placed lights to get contrast would lift it immensely. The objectives too were a bit odd.
But the mission makes up for those niggles with tremendous scope and size and variety. This is a ship, mine, undead, crypt, prison, sewer, and city mission and there are not many with that lot in one! The mysterious Jesps slips silently in, asks about one question on the editing forum, two years later produces this amazing FM and slips back into the shadows! And this is yet another mission with the promise of follow up so I'm looking forward to that! :thumb:

I have a
very strong dislike for Rapidshare. (I'm trying to be polite!)
I cannot download anything from them, ever.
I too have these feelings for Rapidshare.

A belated Thank You to Sticky Fingers and Zapman. I did download from Southquarter, and have been playing... albeit, I was interrupted (pleasantly) by a visit from family and grandkids.
But thanks for the quick replies and help!... Now, if only I can find my way back to the prison?
