To get back to the town to search for keys, can I go out through the front door of the bank or do I have to go over the rooftops?

So, I started the mission for today at the warehouse. I'm in the SW office, on the desk trying to frob a key from behind the painting, but there is nothing there. Does the painting open with a switch or something?

Or is there a readable that helps find it? (Not the secure records list; that says who, but not where)
I swear I have taken this mission apart pixel by pixel and I still can't find it.

I think it's probably possible to complete without any key finding, though it would require thorough loot finding, which would probably nab you a few keys. (

window near starting point with sleeping cop and key is well hidden in
wooden beam on ceiling above bed.

OMG!! I cannot believe I overlooked that!
What I really liked about this mission was the extreme alertness of the guards and watchers in the bank. That forced me to be careful. It's always a nasty (and delightful) surprise when the guards
relight the torch or gaslight that you just so cleverly put out.
I liked that there was no one control for all of the security, and some could not be turned off at all.
Getting in and out of the vault alive was a nice challenge.
The secrets were well dispersed and some quite well hidden.
Well designed overall, I think.

I played that one on expert, it was pretty fun.
It felt like a remix of LotP, FCB&T + a bit of S&R.
The level design is pretty interesting, the AI well placed and balanced.
I'd have appreciated a few more texts to read to create some more story, and a bit of overall polish (however it would have killed the OM feeling)
