It took me a couple of trys at the beginning to realize the gas arrows were toxic to the spiders, but the real tip off was the number of them in inventory. So, always check inventory before you get rolling.
I also appreciate the occasional mission where Garrett gets a good aerobic work out, climbing up and down ramps. Good for his longevity!:thumb:

I just completed the mission.
Those who are bashing the mission for all those spiders I think are bashing it too much when they say it's crap. It isn't. It's set in an Egyptian setting; with tombs, traps, and undead. Certainly that is a well-known genre and has been done in other computer games. The author certainly tried to throw a lot of weird things in and had interesting level design (I seem to remember obsessing over Egyptian tombs as a young kid and reading an encyclopedia article on the Great Pyramids and seeing a map very similar to the map in this mission.) One could nitpick the spiders and the buttons that open doors far away and cause objects to "teleport away" or monsters to "teleport in", and the general "what do I do next?" at certain points in the mission but I don't think it's a bad mission - it was pretty interesting, IMHO.
While others seem to have encountered bugs elsewhere, I encountered only one bug:
When you complete the mission, you get the "Mission Complete" video then the "goals" screen; you can bounce back and forth between the "goals" and the "stats" screen. When I choose "Continue" (both times I did it from the stats screen), Thief2 dies rather than returns to the main menu.
When I completed the level, I was out of offensive firepower and thus had the skeletons chasing me up the corridor all the way to the exit. That shouldn't have made a difference, but who knows?
Again, an interesting and quite creative mission. :thumb:

Actually, once you get past that frustrating first corridor, this becomes a good, enjoyable crypt-type mission. Well done!
Does anyone know if this is based on a real Pyramid? The design seems very realistic.
Apart from some walls the spiders could walk through, I also had the mission crash to desktop after clicking 'Continue' at the end. ( I played the 'fixed' version clearing put a link to on this page). Whilst these are really little things, I would have appreciated a compass - hate that vaguely 'lost' feeling...
Also, is there a good Russian > English translator out there? The readables look to be very interesting, but the translation, as it stands, is almost incomprehensible.
Terrific first effort, & keep 'em coming!!! (...but thin out the spiders...)

At the very end of the first tunnel, there are
two walls that can be broken down with your sword, one down the ladder and another one to the left.I
SAW that taffin thing and fired a fire arrow at it with no effect so I reckoned it was just scenery :weird:
thank you SinisterShadow I am indebted to you :thumb:

How can you break a pyramid secretly? Surely someone would notice.

Have you tried with a couple of waterarrows and holy water? It worked for me.
while I was playing, the key showed up in the bluish cloud in front of the sarcophagus.
uhai,
