Here's how I did the stones, Sir Lance. At each setting position I cycled through all the stones in my inventory until I found one that fit. If that's not it then a usual problem with this sort of thing is the 'use key' versus 'drop key' variation. You have two ways to rid yourself of the stones. Try both until you find one that works. Sorry, I don't remember which it was. That's five stones times two methods, or a total of ten tries at each position. And ultimately I had to run and jump through the portal. Just walking into it didn't work.

Sir Lance,
when you collect the right stone, it will appear from your inventory and you will see the stone in the lock. If you try a wrong stone, it doesn't matter, try the next one (you don't have to load a save and start again trying)
Thank you, Long Finger :D

I would hate to give up on another excellent FM for the same reason but I am getting really frustrated now. There must be a way to do it!
I don't understand how it could possibly take that long... just go around to each location and keep trying each of the five until one works, then move on to the next receptacle. There's no correct order you have to do it in, either. It should take you less than 60 seconds.

Praise be to you Old Man! I have seen the light - 'use key' versus 'drop key'. I have always been dropping instead of using! Finally finished this really enjoyable mission. Now, bring on Lord Allan's Fortress for thee shall also be defeated soon!!!!

Finally finished! Great missions. I love the new AIs (actually I hated them) and the new textures.
The painting in the church at the end doesnt strike me as "spiritual" but I could look at it for hours.

I just finished it, but I am just curious:
was there a way to kill those devilish ladies?
Christine on 19/1/2004 at 05:48
Thank you, Lady Rowena :D
You can kill one or two of the ladies, with holy waterarrows, but you haven't enough to kill all.
