Well I finished this one earlier today and what a great mission. Really got immersed in it. Nice storyline and really fine Thief gameplay. This one is a keeper! I may just have to try and Ghost it. Will let you know if I do.

I'm late to the thread, and indeed late to Thief FMs in general! I only recently discovered the Thief series, and before I go from T1/T2 to T3, I've stopped to experience some fan missions. The ones I've played have been outstanding, and I'm indebted to Eshaktaar for steering me to the L'Arsene series.

I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 missions! While I found them rather difficult at times (and that's probably just me!) I thought the plot device of having L'Arsene communicate with you almost in real-time was brilliant. Most missions (including many of the original T1/T2 levels) seem to place Garrett in a location where certain events happened long, long ago as documented by dusty old scrolls. But in this series, every time I found a scroll of L'Arsene's, I really did feel like I had JUST missed seeing him! And his taunting was deliciously motivating, as I just couldn't WAIT to get my hands on him. I loved it!

I guess I must be the thickest thief around! I've done 'sight' 'taste' 'smell' and 'hearing' but I cannot solve 'touch'. Yes , I know that the pillars must be touched in the order of the hand , but which way do you face , do you right click on the pillars etc.I must be doing something wrong because whatever I do I cannot get rid of the 'touch' ! Probably quite simple but could someone please, please spell it out for me clearly before I go mad! Thanks

First, what a fabulous mission Gaetane - I'm obviously late to the party.

I've just read through all the posts trying to find the sight puzzle room - even looked at the walkthrough. The basic clue is the room is somewhere near the beginning - I am playing on expert and have scoured the prison to not avail. I'm obviously dense on this one so someone please give me a hard push in the right direction.

At the top of the final steps from the jail you can see a footlocker at the far end of the passage ahead of you.

Go into the room where the footlocker is and frob the torch to the left of the triangular arch. A hatch below the picture called "The Sight" will open.
