T2 FM: The Den (Nov. 26, 2005)

Now when I almost finished it, I have to say this FM is outstanding.

Graphically and architecturally it's one of the most beautiful FMs out there, on par with Conspiracies in the Dark, I cannot decide which is better. Sound and script effects are perfect. Atmosphere, tension, puzzles, story all are great too. Author - :thumb:

SOS. I was too quick in my certainty that I'll soon finish this great FM and misfortune befell me :)

I accidentally saved my game after Garrett was already killed, and it seems there is no way to ressurect Garrett after death event. I've played it more than 4 hours already :( Maybe someone has a saved game not too far from a moment I was killed?

I've already collected all needed loot, all 5 stones, the 5-senses key, revenged to L'Arsene's sister. All that's left is to open the Den's gate and kill L'Arsene. I remember Nightwalker has a large collection of saved games..

This is the exact reason why you should never rely entirely on quicksaves and why I NEVER quicksave at all. It's too easy to make a mistake and save someplace where you shouldn't.

I wish I could help but I can't this time. I don't seem to have any saves for the final release version, only betas. I don't know why as I'm sure I played it. Maybe someone else will be able to dig one up for you. Otherwise, I guess you'll have to start over. It's much faster the second time through, though, as you know where everything is.

Nightwalker, I guess I'll have to start it anew after a while then, but just maybe your beta quicksaves will work with final version too??

Sorry but I can't give out beta saves. Even if it worked, there might be things that weren't fixed or things that were changed in the final version. Releasing that would be a violation of the trust between betatesters and mission authors.

When I posted before it was 3am here, & I was definitely tiring, but this is just so damn hard to put down.
Somehow I forgot all about that crazy fireplace! :erg:
