Bigger spoiler: Frob one of the paintings.

the hearing tapestry is in the weapons room. The one with the weapons depot as well. On your map it would be in the south west corner. i never found a memo 2..

i can't remember where smell is, but i can remember three locations where i found some of the stones, which are forbidden section, south west tower 2nd floor, 2nd floor in the gallery/picture section and lab. hope that helps.
