You don't have to climb over them, necessarily. If you have enough health points, you can just squeeze past them. You will take a little damage but you should be able to survive it.
To set "New Mantle":
In your Thief 2 folder you should see a file called cam_ext.cfg. Open that file and down near the bottom under "Game Specific" there is a line that looks like this:
;new mantle
Just remove the semi-colon and save the file. That's it. You may then need to uninstall and reinstall the FM in whatever FM loader you are using. I'm not sure about that so you could always try it first and see.

Yandros, is there a loot list? I just have 490 to go to get all the loot. Thanks!
(What does New Mantle do -- allow Garrett to leap through the air like the characters in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? :eek: )

I managed to do it without taking any damage at all! What a lot of fuss for nothing. . anyway, I finished the mission!
I loved the atmosphere and enjoyed the rest of it quite a bit. Although some parts were frustrating, I did manage to figure out some tricky parts with no help. I think I'd describe the design of this FM as "Deceptively Minimalist." The rooms inside the structures are spacious and look fairly empty at a glance, so it can be really easy to miss a lot of things hidden in the nooks. Tricksy, I say!

@bikerdude:
That shed's key is inside the shed, you have to find a way into it from inside the monastery. It's one of the secrets you obviously missed, and is also by far the easiest way out once all hell has broken loose (which is in fact why it was added).I dont know how I missed that one, doh...

You can easily squeeze past all of them without taking any damage, as you found.

I've skimmed this thread to avoid spoilers, but it seems I am the ONLY one stuck in the temple! :p
I have the codex, continued up the ramp in the codex room up to the top where there is a second hammer guard on a stone walkway with a gate at the end, but it's locked.
how do I get out of the temple area?
Something to do with a secret panel underwater where you first drop in from the waterfall is what I can tell from this thread :confused:

It depends on what difficulty you're on as to where that key is. Assuming you're on Expert, it should be on Thorn's body where he was killed by the Hammer guard when you first opened the door. Otherwise, it will still be on the guard's belt. It's labeled "Lost Temple Key" I believe.

Thanks Russ, I thought it must be something obvious I was missing, I'm sure I checked Thorns body though because I even picked him up, I definitely don't have a lost temple key :erg:
I will check it out tonight :thumb:
