Wow, I posted this 5 years ago! Being reminded of this FM by nighshifter's post, I revisited, and Yep, same problem. The gate doesn't open no matter what I do. Any chance that NOW (5 years later), anyone might have a suggestion? If not, I guess I'll leave it unfinished and ignored for another 5 years. :)

You need a Walkthrought. Just get the best, by Ricebug. Grab the 2006 (vol. 7)

Thanks TaxAkla, this is exactly what I needed to know (from the walkthrough):
Push the big block
onto one of the square patterns on the floor and you’ll hear a sound. Look up and you’ll see a
torch high on the wall has ignited. Push the block around until you’ve got all 4 torches lit and the
gate at the north end will open.NOW, I can finally finish! :)

If the torches all come on and the gate doesn't open, it could be a problem with custom scripts not working on newer Windows OS machines. It's happened to several folks with my missions, including me. Let me know if that happens to you.

On Expert, I've done everything I think except enter the pool treasure room, and I therefore have not met the loot objective. I find the ceiling tile in the centre of the corridor with pits and darts highlights, but frobbing it has no effect. And I'm shot to death before I can investigate in any detail. What am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
OK I get it now. It opens the floor trap. I thought that was another spike pit which you were supposed to avoid, but it isn't.

Played this one today for the first time, what an awesome mission. I'm a TR fan and played the first game the most, so this was a great experience! Did you ever make another TR based mission?
