It's one of my favourite! Thanx Yandros :thumb:

When I first read about this mission I thought Tomb raider in the dark engine? That's not going to work very well. Man, was I wrong. :o Well done, Yandros and Gumdrop! :thumb: Captured the original the look and feel extremely well.
It took me 57 minutes of game time and got all the secrets. I'm 300 loot short of the max; any idea what I missed?

I've always asked myself why Garrett (and now Lara) has his/her hand raised the way like he/she wants to greet someone "the military way". :cheeky:
Garrett is holding his hand up to his mechanical eye, which he is, after all, using to view through the scouting orbs.

Thanks for the mission taffers . I didn't care for long and drawn out crate dragging episode , however the rest was very well done and most welcome Christmas entertainment .:thumb:

I agree, some of the textures are crap. But I was dedicated to using the original TR textures. I may do an upgrade in the future with all new textures.
Oh... I forgot it. :P Well I didn't play much Tomb Rider (I got II but got stuck awfully early) so I didn't notice.

There's a nice shortcut to pushing the crate around:
Throw a grenade at it pointblank and it moves about 8-10 feet at a time, then you can quickly pick up the grenade before it goes off. Wash, rinse, repeat.
:cheeky:

Well, it wasn't A Thief's Holiday: 2006, but it was an excellent present nonetheless. Thanks, Yandros!
The Highs: Creative mixing of Tomb Raider and Dromed. New menu screens, music, monsters (love those bone-swinging haunts--very Bruegelish.), voice clips, textures and cutscenes really pull it together. It's like a mini-conversion!
The Lows: That damn monkey screeching! Can you make it less annoying somehow? Ditto on the Haunts--how about some bony clacking noises instead? LC needs to be a bit bouncier than Garrett in combat. The block puzzle would have worked better in first-person perspective. The loot requirement on expert level needs tweaking; forcing the player to comb over every inch of terrain is irritating, especially when the other objectives are done. Wouldn't Lara would simply go home and settle for less expensive panties?
Wow. Nicely done, Russ. I'm a big fan of TR and now I don't feel so bad that I thought you did Temple of the Tides. :)
Anyway
placing the undead statues in the mask room was a nice touch. It had me sweating pushing the block slowly by them not knowing if they where gonna reach out and thwack me.
Some good suggestions and ideas here but Yandros, I wouldn't really change anything. The mission is like 99.9% and much of the 0.1% is taste and preference anyway. You can go on forever tweaking and polishing. Just take the ideas you like on to your next mission!:thumb:
