I guess I hit a bug there in the attic. I loaded a previous save and was able to finish this wonderful level. Thanks for a gret ride, and I thought the ending cinematic was perfect.
I too am wondering about that secret in the sanctuary stairwell! Anyone?

Is that Sanctuary stairwell door the metal trapdoor in the ceiling? Because that has opened since destroying the Emergency power cable (or maybe after using the entrance Lawviz described). Haven't figured out how to get to the area above it yet...
EDIT : Ah, sorry, wrong door - Lawviz's last post explains that door (didn't see it as that was the only way I used to get in.)

It has come to my attention, that this mission contains the file "SND\SFX\W3.WAV" with the so called "Horst-Wessel-Lied", which is an old Nazi propaganda song and therefore is illegal to host or distribute in any way in or to Germany.

In the Glaziers' dining room I cannot frob the ring under the table that the rat is sitting on Is this not supposed to be collected for loot?

You're absolutely right, SinisterShadow. I didn't even realize that the melody was Horst-Wessel-Lied until you mentioned it.
One of the reasons the Wolfenstein 3D was confiscated in Germany was because this song was prominently featured in the game.
