You need to enter them in the same order thats on the wall. The teleporter will activate then. Just step in and your off. If its not working, check to make sure you are pressing the right symbols as a couple have only a minor difference and are easily confused.

Otherwise make sure that the combo lock is reset. Anotherwords, you have to make sure that you are starting from the beginning. There is no reset button that I could find so for example if you enter 2 symbols and one is wrong, you will have to enter 2 more to reset it and start over. Hope this makes sense. I have four of the Stones, I have been able to use two of them, but I am clueless (perhaps totally) on where and how to use them at all.. I have been going through this thread and have read about 4 towers as follows:

Air - Whitestone - N E Tower

Earth Greenstone N W Tower

Fire Redstone S W Tower

Water Bluestone S E Tower

I have been through all the towers and have used, or at least tried to use the last two stones, Fire and Air and have been unsuccessful in determining how and where to use them. I have listened for the wind change and I dont seem to notice and change or variation at all.

One of the posts mentions that the two remaining towers are located somewhere in the 2nd Southern Section.

I am trying in vain to find the last of the two talisman, to no avail. I have never felt so clueless in my time of playing theif fms

Btw: I do have version 1b

Make sure you are climbing the ladder to the upper level before using them. This is the room like the torture room where you used the green gem to meet the keeper. The ladders are a bit hard to see but there.

As for the wind, I notice that when I used them it got silent. I only heard wind when going back down the ladders. Hope this helps! :thumb::angel:

Scott8688: to use the white stone you have to be at the top of the round tower. I accessed the round tower by going through the Northwestern lookout towers (at the northern front gate).

thanks to both Stingm and Verak I was able to spot those hard to see ladders in both towers, I have used the Whitestone and the Redstone and have completed the mission.

Never occured to me to actually look for ladders in those two towers at all.

Very easy to miss.

Now I am off to mission two, sigh, what a maze..

You may want to adjust your gamma, I didn't have an issue finding the ladders. I had to wonder if your gamma was a bit dark, maybe thats why you had a hard time finding them, bump it up a bit, might help.

I've got a bug using the white gem. I'm playing on expert.
Once I've taken the airstone, I can't use the white gem again. It keeps whirling in my inventory and the mission gets stuck. I can't get out of there anymore. I also tried to leave through the icy paths downstairs, but I can't get any further.

Gloria you can only use the stone when you get back inside the tower again,to return it to the proper time
