T2 FM: The Night Falcon (Sep. 4, 2003) - by epithumia

This happened to me on Elevator Mission T2 and I'm runnin' a P4, 2.8Ghz with 512Mb ram and a Radeon 9600 AIW Pro. Rebooting would fix it for me, but it would just happen again. The slowdown made it unplayable.
I haven't experienced any slowdown in Night Falcon yet and I've been through the crypt with the vampires. I also killed them all the same way Shadow did. It became easy to do after I killed a couple of them.

Also everybody in the immediate area from your house to the arch IS A FRIEND. They will cause you no trouble unless you show a weapon OR GET CAUGHT THIEVING.
So you can rob the Pub, and pick pockets in safety. UNLESS YOU ARE SEEN DOING SO.
Also, take ALL the foodstuffs you find. They will "heal" you.
All of which is great, but
those panels in the attuc won't open!!!
Btw, anyone knows some easy way to get rid of vampires and bats in monastery crypts in mission 3?
Shaad on 9/5/2004 at 17:28
I don't think you can get rid of them. But if you stay in shadows and make no noise they won't bother. In fact, I spent all my water arrows before the end of it and there were some torchs left.
If you kill a vampire, it becomes a bat. And if you kill a bat, it explodes !
But the dagger is very useful against undeads in the 'cathedral' ...
Problem : I can't finish 'cathedral' : all my objectives are cheched (except 'return to town'). But when I go back to town , it doesn't check !
Any idea ? Did someone have the same problem ?
Nightwalker on 9/5/2004 at 17:47
I've heard of that happening to a few people and I don't think it was ever discovered why. Just use "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End" to complete the mission and continue on to the next one.

This maybe a little off topic, but can anyone tell me what music (the band or tune name) was used in the cutscenes? There is some quality guitar work there....
Very good FM by the way...loved the first mission, now moving onto the second one.

I read the other threads and am pretty sure I am in the landlord's home, but I can't find the watch anywhere. It is a very small two-floor with a bed and baby cradle upstairs. Is there a very small switch I am overlooking, or what?
Christine on 8/7/2004 at 19:08
No, that is not the landlord's house, go down the stairs and leave this house, follow the street and you will come to a house with a goldplaque (with the name of the landlord on it), this is the landlord's house. I hope it helpes you :)

The landlord was unnamed in the diary and the objectives so I assumed the guy in the tavern was someone else, and that the landlord's house would not have a name plate. Big mistake. Thank you for the help, and now I can continue with your very fine mission.
