You're lucky you got to finish...that dang kid completely disappeared on me and then all the AI's started floating in the middle of the air with their arms straight out. I had to throw in the towel :(

I know I am really tired, and probably ought to sleep. But I have a few questions. These are all early in the game:
1. How the PHRIG do I get past Luther de Snel and get to the trapdoor with the goodies? Iwould KO him from behind IF I could get into that room (the door from the alley is locked and can't be picked, etc.) I eventually frogbeasted him, but there has to be a way with just skill.
2. Can I get into the library without having to go Rambo on everyone? Once there, is anything frobbable besides the glasses in the bottom room?? Anything else at all?? Seems a waste....
3. How do I get into the chapel? Duh, right?? Well, I even tried mine-blasting the metal door, and umm, well, Hammerites. I am a thief, this is not Duke Nukem. Key, right? I have killed and searched the whole shebang, I am missing something....
ok, enough for now. These are obvious questions, and I am tired, I know.... but there have been a lot of posts about Ritual, and it's making me crazy. :joke:
Get In Front of him, When he sees you, get outside the room and run round the alley, and do it until he seems to lose you and starts searchin' for you. Go to his room and hide in adjacent room. When he comes back, you (might) KO him. By the way, I think I could lockpick the other door and yet could'nt directly KO him. So I did the above thing. Actually I played whole mission in this style as I couldn't discern the trapdoor containing all that equipment.
Yeah, I dunno any alternative other than that

Just be patient. I think there's a time trigger. After some time, one of those Hammerites in the Cathedral comes out. You can hurry through the open door, or Kill that Hammerite and get in. (He Has the Key). I just got in by chance.
There may be better answers than this, But I just put in whatever I knew..

1.
Somewhere around that area, there's a box you can pick up. Take it around to the back window of Luther's house, then while looking down at the ground, drop the box and jump at the same time. You should end up on top of the box, and that puts you high enough to climb in the window. This way you can approach him from behind.
2.
The only thing in there are the glasses. You can get in there without causing a commotion, but it takes a lot of patience to time it right and get past the guards. You can also BJ one of them, to make it a bit easier.
3.
To get into the chapel, you need to rope arrow up to the ledge and then jump to the balcony beside it. I'd suggest a moss arrow on the balcony, because there's a guard that patrols inside.
Phyllis, you likely figured this out already, but
if you follow the directions Twisty gave about accessing the walkway, like shooting the rope arrows in the Skull-apparition room, you'll see that following the walkway ends... at the lever!
Thanks! D'oh, I REALLY must have been tired not to think to rope-arrow up to a balcony! :bored: Anyway, I completed the second half of the mission (in the catacombs) in half the time it took me to get through the city.. if you can believe that. Slow start.
1. A comment on the key to the catacombs question:
You actually can go through the park and in-through-the-out-door so to speak, and you can get the key off of the cultist guard standing there. Then the pressure plate thingy becomes irrelvent.
2. And question about swimming, for anybody:
In the big swimming area in the caves (you must know what I mean), there is a LOT of junk and dead bodies on the cavern floor. Has anyone swam down there and actually been able to find anything useful?
Anyway, thanks! :cheeky: :thumb:

Okay, I think I'm nearly done with this mission. I've blackjacked every Hammerite and Drulzelite (sp?) except one mage who I just killed by accident so I have to reload since I'm playing on expert.
Anyhow, I've explored everything I think and cannot find Merimee. So my first question is, where is she being held? Second question - is there a key to that big metal plate/wall above the ritual room? I've been to both sides and it seems like it should open.
This is the first mission I remember where foes spawn in an area previously cleared. I went back up to the town to see if I could ring the bell in the tower and found the town full of the Druzelite guys so I knocked them all out and laid them out next to the Hammers. :)
Also, what is up with those giant mask creatures? Am I supposed to take some drugs before playing this mission? Strange...

poly,
it's been a long time since i played that one so i can't really remember much about the stuff you're interested in. i do remember enjoying it and playing it more than once, which is very rare for me.
but, you might get more help if you post this over at the "fan mission forum:"
(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=100)
that's the best place to ask questions about fan missions... who knows, maybe twisty himself (the chap who created "the ritual") will answer.
from the looks of your registration date, you're fairly new around here. welcome to the world of fan missions, taffer...
