T2 FM: The Ritual (Dec. 4, 2000) - by twisty

Hi! I deleted your other post, since this one got moved over here.
Did you find the "Teleport Lever Key"? Once you have it you need to head to the area where the Druzilites all walk over to hit a gong, then head back where they came from. If you follow their route, you should find a door that you can use that key in. Inside that room is a lever you need to pull, which will take you into the Altar room. You'll find Merrimee in there. :)

Yes I figured out the teleport lever, that's why it wasn't mentioned in the newer message that you deleted. I didn't try it initially because I was assuming it was used to escape the Druzelites after grabbing Merimee.
I knocked out all the Hammers and Druzeguys.
I still can't find Merimee. The only place I haven't been is this narrow underwater area on the side of the altar platform. The opposite side has a underwater passage that leads back to the start of the Druze temple area. Is there some trick to crouching underwater to get into that narrow place?
Or is there some purpose to the wooden rings above the altar area? Maybe they move or something to reveal Merimee?
I'm beginning to think it's just a broken FM.
Nightwalker on 24/1/2003 at 23:44
Nope. You should be able to rope arrow down, using those rings, and I believe Merrimee is down below, on an altar or something. She's not hidden anywhere. If she's not there, then it's possible you did "break" it somehow. Those things do happen, unfortunately. :(
Sorry if I deleted the wrong thread. I just got rid of the one that was a duplicate. I guess I didn't read carefully enough, because I thought they were the same.

No worries, it happens.
I've moved on to Raid on Washout Central now. Thanks anyhow.

Just tried playing "The Ritual" again and forgot some of the "secrets".
When I get tot the second floor, above the pool, where these "burling" black guards are walking their rounds, I rip down every flag from the walls, but one: Where's the secret to open this "?".
I can't remember this one and searching on the forum didn't get me into the originally "forum-talk" about this FM.
SO .............WHO CAN HELP ME (again) ?!

I wish I could help, Gloria but I don't remember if there's anything there or not. It's not mentioned in the walkthrough either. Maybe somebody else will be able to tell you for sure.

If you are talking about the area that has the four red hammer flags, and the hammer benches on the second floor above a decorative pool ...
there is no secret behind any of those banners - Sorry
Hi, I played this one sometime late last year all the way through (properly) and enjoyed it very much! I tried a little something different, however, this next time around and it screwed up the game, making it impossible to complete...
So, I went down the drain, and came out where you're supposed to, in the small room very near the gates to the tomb. Eventually, as you leave, you're supposed to take weights and place them on the pedestal buttons on the floor on either side of the gate; both must be weighted down for you before the tomb gates open. Well instead of continuing into the tombs down the obvious path, I went back down into the water where all those bodies are, and grabbed two, placed them there, and got out right away, going through and clearing the town of the baddies that have now freshly appeared. All were knocked out, and I absconded with the tomb key and reentered.

Anyhow, don't do this; wait until the end, because if you do this, MERIMEE NEVER APPEARS FOR YOU TO RESCUE HER, AND THE MISSION CANNOT END.
Just a friendly warning! Bye!
