Playing in "Expert" mode.
Kill a Haunt in the Tomb below the elevator, carry him with you as you traverse the tile/acid floor, and when you get to the top of the stairs before the wooden pressure sensitive floor lean forward, drop the Haunt and back up a little. The spiked wall will pass by and you'll have your leisure to use a rope arrow at the end of the hall.
Doggonit, you beat me to it...that is precisely what I did...and here I thought I was so clever and original...I came on here to edify everyone. *snif*
well, maybe I am a little clever and just slow ;)

Well, I think you're BOTH very clever! That's certainly easier than the way I did it. Thanks for the tip. :thumb:

Do you know that
I never realised that you could use a rope arrow at the end of the hall. Making that jump is just a matter of timing really. I think that I just became too used to the timing of the jump during Alpha testing that I didn't realise that it would be hard for anyone else.
I've tried
just jumping, but I could never quite do it. The rope arrow works, but it's very difficult to do in such a short period of time. The body thing sounds like the best solution.
OK, something even weirder than the girl disappearing just happened to me...
She vanished, all right, after I left her in the temple or whatever and went out to clear the way. I figured I'd better go back and find her, and when I couldn't, I went back out into the town, figured what the heck, I'll just go knock out some more Druizalites, maybe Merimee will show up. Well, when I got outside, I found several of those goons floating about 4-5 feet up in the air, some that I'd knocked out already and some that I hadn't. They were face-up, arms outstretched, kinda in that Dromed, "I-don't-have-an-AI-yet" posture, only facing the sky. When I touched them, they fell down and registered as unconscious. I finally quit when I rounded a corner and saw one floating there, and three enemies came around the other way, saw the floater, and went into attack mode.
Oh, well. :)

I'm near the end of this one. There is a note in one house that alludes to a missing necklace in the grotto in the park. Does this exist, if so ou est? Merci beaucoup cherries.
glennicus on 1/7/2002 at 14:08
It does exist. By "grotto" the letter means a nook in the rock wall in the park. It is there.

There are two areas (which may be connected) which I have been unable to access. There is an elevated walkway above the first circular intersection and a gate behind which is a lever. Has anyone managed to acess either area? As usual I cannot reach the loot requirement so any help there also much appreciated.
glennicus on 2/7/2002 at 10:56
That walkway is inaccessible. I'm not sure which gate you are referring to. I believe that you may be referring to the gate outside of a tower-like structure in the room adjacent to the water pool. If so, go into the tower, climb up the ladder, and use the three levers in there to open the gate.
