Lawviz: Have a look around in the room where those golds and blues were. Maybe you can find some way of shutting off the power to that electricity.

Sorry, friends... I completely lost my interest to the campaign. I loved Thief2X. I loved CoSaS. But I can't say the same for this FM.

And that you will like the sequel. (I don't care what you say authors, I DEMAND a sequel!)
Not gonna happen, unless another team or the original team takes up the mantle...

BA, how did u fix the 'frob then crash' problem? cuz i dont have an ep folder at all....
In BA's case, I believe there was an issue with a mission she was beta-testing that crashed with a single EP texture file, so we extracted
EP.crf and deleted/renamed that one texture file so she could continue to beta-test the mission. There really
shouldn't be an EP folder, so if you have already tried the other issues regarding
EP.cfg and that hasn't helped then you may have another issue.

Whoa. Just plain whoa. I just started playing this about 20 mins. ago and I have to say I'm having the time of my life!!! I haven't played any FMs for about 6 weeks so this is like a kid being turned loose in a candy store and told that everything's free!
Fantastic!
Gotta run; I've got an FM to play! Woooha!

P.S. Thanks!

Not a bug...
But why are the rope arrows stuck to a stone wall?
If our main character does such a thing it breaks and you have wasted an arrow.

I'm leaving this thread, because I said everything I had to say. I may try to play the FM some day, but only if somebody writes a detailed walkthrough. As for now, I'll try to make peace with my emotions and keep them under control.
I'm sorry you're disappointed in the mission, BT. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and I won't slight you for stating it. I think more constructive criticism needs to be voiced around here in general. But then, your post was really pretty vague, only mentioning boring architecture and story, but that's fine - it can be really difficult to give specific criticisms in a constructive way, and in a public forum.
Personally, I think the architecture is really impressive in many places, but I can see how after 6 years of buildup, the story might be a bit of a let-down. But as redface pointed out, this was only supposed to be a prologue and sort of grew into a full-fledged mission, and story was never the focus, only setting the stage for later missions. I'm sure the full story arc of the campaign that was planned would have been much more impressive, but we'll probably never know... unless the team releases those details with other abandoned resources.
By the way, a thorough walkthrough has been completed, and will be released in the near future.

I know, I know. But I wasn't going to put a big board on that sheer rock face. Maybe the black team knows something we don't about rope arrows? :D

This FM is pretty freakin great! It looks elegant, plays elegant, and is elegant. I have to admit that going into it I felt skeptical about the concept of a "capture the flag" type level but you HI guys really pulled it off. If their was one fault I could find with it it would have to be the story, the plot felt somewhat forced at best, however I could see clues to the beginnings of a plot scattered throughout. I really hope/wish that either the HI team will make mission 2 or that someone else will take up the mantle, it would be tragic to see such a fine concept die after so much effort has obviously been put into its creation. I'm not much of a DromEder but I'd be honored to help with plot and readables if anyone wants to give it a go.
Anyway, I've basically finished but I only have a couple of secrets, anyone found some?

Search very carefully in
Father Bangor's Office.
I searched high and low in there and no luck. I need a hint.

To the right of fathers desk, there is that lamp on the table next to the couch, look closely between that couch and the table the lamp is on. I stood up on the desk and looked down.......
