Also, on a completely different note, since we're unlikely to get the rest of the Imperium campaign, anyone know where the story was going to go? There are a few notes of political intrigue and I'm just curious.
Mission 2 "The Grand Imperial Cathedral" 60% ready.

Short plot:
Shivan has been granted acess to lower cathedral chambers to supervise and protect the council's secret meeting along with the White Lightning legion. He's a Legionnaire and allowed to walk around public places, but can sneak into private places as well...
Shivan also gets a chance to spy upon the conversation of Alexander and Valtero on the events about the Ferrum Order's future and Alexander's assassination. He is about to report the assassination to his superior...
However something goes horribly wrong and the meeting is attacked by the Red Thorn brotherhood. The Ferrum Machinery is blown up and the Cravonian leaders are massacred.
Shivan must stop the Red Thorn and get to the higher levels of the cathedral, as the lower levels are set ablaze.

I finally finished. This is being written from my phone, so spelling my suffer from fat fingers. The story is pretty simple here. Theres no plot twist or tale, just straight ahead taffing. The level is huge and full uf baddies.
Read team, i owned you guys, you're average hammerites, konk, down. Gold, sneaky with the marble in your area. Purple, hammer priests? I got them before any fired on me. Blue were super easy. Silver, these are mechanists really. But the mines take them out easy when lured by a noise maker. Black, just keepers ala an old fan mission, again, noisemaker ambushes in the light.
The icons, all very easily stolen, not one requires a puzzle or device be solved.
The level, huge, but, well... Disappointed, texture mismatches around corners, stock textures and hi res textures, some muddy textures from non photo based sources.
Its not the best of all time and after years of build up didnt meet my expectations. Its a great level if you like classic gameplay, huge levels and lots of sneaking. But in a post mission x world there is hardly anything to do, its thief, no thinking required. Point and steal basically.
I'd give it a 7/10. Its good but for me doesnt raise the bar.

Having a blast with this one :thumb: Lots of sneaking, and cool traps. It's apparent that there was a lot of work involved with the textures, frescoes and sounds. The magnetic things that take out the silver guys were cool, once I figured out how to use them. Right now I''m getting creeped out by the black guys running around.
There were a couple of things that I could use a hint on... where is the key to the safe where I presume the red icon is secured ? It's probably something pretty obvious, but I missed it.
Also, is there a key to the room by the stairs in the gold area, not far from the fountain?
Thanks in advance :)

Moghedian - room near stairs; look up just after leaving the 1st area with the 2 violent gold guys.
Safe; I could be wrong, but I thought that opened with lockpicks...

Thanks to everyone involved in creating this mission. Great to see at least one part of the campaign released after all the good work and creativity people put into it. :) I do have a lot of fun playing it although I haven't even seen half of the map.

Why is no one talking about clearing's post? Is it a joke or what? Or will there really be a mission 2?
Yandros on 25/5/2009 at 12:40
No, it's not a joke that it's 60% ready. In fact, the old website claimed it was 85% ready, but then it had also called this mission 99% ready, and there was definitely more than 1% left to do before release when we got it. But if the remains of the team is inspired by the release of Seven Shades to go finish mission 2, I'm sure they'd have lots of support from the community, including probably dedicated Dromeders and testers to help them (although I'd not be included in that group). Personally I'd love to see mission 2 because I think it's the one that has the Grand Cathedral which is supposed to be so incredibly huge and amazing.

And I thought the HI team still had to start with mission 2 and gave up. If it's 60% ready it REALLY should be released!

Go to the original project website which is linked to from Redface's page that I linked to in the first post here and explore the webpage. On the (
