I'm glad there's interest in working on HI2. Some thoughts:
* I'd recommend the hosting of abandoned resources, if that's the route taken, be done by The Circle and/or SQ as it's likely to be very large and my hosting plan wouldn't handle the bandwidth.
* I've neglected my other projects (DCE mostly) for too long and am not interested in being involved in Dromed work or testing of HI2. I don't plan to take on any more projects until DCE is released, which is liable to be a year or more. There are more than enough capable folks around, like John, clearing and some of the original team members who can handle it just fine.
* I will be happy, though, to host the test forum for HI2 if it gets to that point. However, I imagine the official HI forums might be better suited since there would likely be access to historical threads there about discussions of the mission from years ago by the original team members. That kind of information would be invaluable to a team put together to finish it off now.

there's massive storyline gaps, due to competing writers.
If there is an effort for mission 2, then I would love to help out with story type stuff if there is need for it.

I was just wondering if someone could confirm where the last secret is. By that, I don't mean the four related to the 'main' side quest, or the secret in the Magister's office bookcase.
Yandros listed the last one as: a room with a spider chest in the silver area, it's above the room with all the pressure plates that set off gas arrows, but does that room even exist?
Stath MIA on 26/5/2009 at 04:14
@Xorak- Yes, it does exist.
Hint:
Go down into the catacombs.
Dead give away:
It's right at the bottom of the ramp, still within silver territory

If I'm not mistaken, the room in the silver area with all the pressure plates that set off gas arrows is the room directly above the room with St. Excantium's sarcophagus.

A BIG THANKS TO THE TEAM THAT PUT THIS MISSION TOGETHER!! From the beautiful art work and architecture, detail, music, movie and special weapons and effects. It is a work to be very proud of. Now, we really, really need Part 2..hint, hint :ebil:
I played on Shadow in 3 hrs. 14 min. and found $8784 of $9634. Found 6 of 6 secrets. With help, of course, from this forum. I used all the special weapons to good effect, and had a great time with rope climbing...in total blackness.
The first time through, I started on Easy and it took me 5 hours. One of the first things I did was to climb the waterfall and happened upon the rope arrows. Only found 1 secret, total.
The most annoying thing, to me, was that darn tune being whistled. Not trying to offend anyone, but I can't get it out of my head. Also, it tended to be quite dark in some areas which was to my advantage, but I love to see all the details
The hardest...and simplest...thing for me was finding out what the heck the Builder was pointing to. acckkk
Thank you again for all the hard work and dedication!!

Alright. Thanks you two for pointing that secret out. I never actually stepped onto the tiled section of that floor, because I didn't want to alert the silver guys. I always just ducked around that central part. Actually, as I was searching for the secret I thought it was a lever I was looking for, I still couldn't find those gas-trapped tiles. I dropped a mine-thingy to knock out the silver guard who patrols there just to get him out of the way. But he came snooping into the room and by stepping into the center he released the trap. :laff: He was totally unaware of the gas arrows which hit him from every side, and just went on with his marching, singing his little song: "The builder said, go out into the land..." :thumb:

Maybe we should have made the health shields into clouds or something, to suggest that they represent consciousness instead of health. Run out of clouds, and you're unconscious. :joke:
perhaps little brains?

I'd love to take a look at it and try to fill those in. I can't make a box in dromed, but I can proofread and embellish stories like others make cereal :D

If you still need me with all those offers, I would be happy to help writing the story.
