Also...in the room where I find my supplies there is a large tile on the floor behind a crate. Kind of important looking wouldn't ya say ?

stand in front of the desk then crouch down and turn right, the switch should be on the end of the couch.Quote:

I think you can find this one on your own so I'll just give you a hint:
go down to the basement and examine the ceiling. If you still can't find it then
walk down the hallway from the first Blue vs Gold clash there is an opening in the ceiling on the right which you can rope arrow up into.

Uhhh...theres no couch in Bangors office.
Lightningline on 27/5/2009 at 05:15
Edit wont work so here is the rest...there is just two chairs which I cant stand between I have frobed every inch around the desk and chairs and still no dice.
Anymore ideas ?
Made it work..it was my firewall. Just so you know it is the gold icon in Bangors office i am after. You may be thinking of another icon since you said couch and there is no couch in there. I am starting to think this switch is the best hidden switch in the history of the game. Such a small room and i know it is in there and i have looked for at least an hour in just that room. The irritation is settling in :grr:

Also I hope more goals show up...once I find the gold its off to the cemetary and its over....of course I will explore more anyhow.
I see now...Father Bangor and Dean Bangor are 2 different people. ..........

If you don't see a couch you are not in Bangor's office. (
http://i39.tinypic.com/2aahqwz.jpg) Here is a pic which shows
the couch and the location of the switch in Bangor's office. His office is reached via the upstairs snow-covered balcony on the second floor in the Gold Team areas courtyard. His office is down a hallway and there is a plaque over the door with his name.

Lightingline - I assume you mean getting in. Check your maps - there's another area held by purple, the key's there.
Surely I'm right this time!

I have to say that my opinion of this fan mission swings back and forth. I spent at least an hour at the beginning of the mission trying to get past the blue area. Did not occur to me to climb the waterfall, which I have a feeling is something of an exploit, and had no knowledge of the trapdoor as I had to run for my life from the gold team repeatedly. I very nearly quit before even really starting.
Once I got into the academy I was glad I had not. Although ghosting the tile floors until I found my equipment was a small challenge, I passed it. Once I got my equipment back, it became a bit too easy, not that I am complaining on that score one bit.
I thoroughly enjoyed the academy, and the ground to upper floors of the cathedral, finding myself suitably impressed, more like awed for the most part. I found myself being quite engrossed by the little tidbits of information about Shivan, and the Hammerite Imperium. Enough so that I actually had a dream that I was a Hammer Acolyte in a similar environs when I went to bed after the first night playing.
I then reached the point of entering the basement...
Saved game time so far: 3:02
Actual real time playing: about 7-10 hours.
And I thought the beginning was hard. Do not read the rest of this post if you don't want spoilers.
Hmm, two entrances to the basement. Both brightly lit, one leading to a fidgety silver that turns face every few seconds. The other leading to a patrolling silver. Seems an easy choice, patroller it is. Rather long stairs here. and pretty lit up on the bottom half. Better crouch and run for it. Damn! Stairs just under the light fixture throw me out of my crouch and make me hop down the last few to land loudly in the hallway. Whack! "The villian shall fall!" Whack! Great. Try again. And again. And again. And again. Fine, I'll try the other stairs. Nice dark area there at the bottom. Crouch. Run like hell. Thrown out of crouch, hop hop. "The Viillain shall fall!" Whack! And again. And again. And again.
Fine. I'll just let him chase me and set off a trap. Ooooh fun, let's play inventory shuffle while running. Whack! Dammit where's that detonator! "The Viillain shall fall!" Whack! Argggh! Finally! Take that you bastard! Rinse, repeat every step of the way. Playing inventory shuffle on the run is NOT my idea of a good time >.< Good lord, someone said they ghosted this section? Crap, out of detonators, but at least I'm done with.... Dammit! Now I have to go down all these ramps. And they are all guarded. Hmm, I'll put out all the torches... Wow, he's awfually close to the top of the ramp, maybe I can slip by him in the dark... Gassed! WTF!?! Gassed! "The Viillain shall fall!" Dead! Rinse, repeat.
Add to this scenario the fact they are unKOable, immune to gas, AND have frikkin lights?!?
What the hell? Someone ghosted the silvers? I'm not saying anyone is lying, but could someone post a youtube vid please because I have tried to get past them for hours by any means possible, and short of running like hell being damaged all the way down from the stairs at the start to the bottom of the ramps, I don't see how it is possible to do it at all, much less not being seen. I could seriously use a vid thru here because much as I want to love every glorious pixel of this mission the silvers are pissing me off to the point where I am just about to quit. (And if I hear "The villian shall fall!" one more time, I'm going to frikkin scream!)
Edit:The above post is intended at least partially to be a humorous account of a not so humorous frustration.

I used rope arrows on those ramps.
