i think hammerite speak is supposed to be totally over the top. i think it should be like a grade school version of old english with tons of thee, thou, and what not. that said, i probably read less than 20% of the readables in this mission. what i read was well written, but it was way too much stuff, and honestly, kind of repetitive.

Yes, I think they are too and I looked at the ThiefWiki on the published Hammer conversations, the Bible, a number of Early Modern English usage rules and any number of other sites and although there was only a short amount of time to do these (95 in total including name plaques), due to mix-ups in email addresses, Tannar and I spent some considerable hours debating the usage of the correct forms and how the rules didn't really fit in well with what we thought was the general feeling about Hammerite speak. The original texts I think were written by different people and not all of them, of course, needed any tweaking.
I do hope, though, that out of the ones you did read, you didn't miss the gems.

finished this one. what can I say? amazing work from the very beginning to the very end. thanks for the hard work you've put into this.
btw. whats the title of the song in the objectives screen? (and where can I get it? :) )

It's either by ziili or atolonen. Both their musics for the entire campaign (most of it was not used in this mission) are available from (

Would someone post a spoiler about where the wall that moves is (bonus quest)? I am playing the patched version; I shoot the arrow and hear something move. I just don't know where.
Thanks

@ gt_mule
It's at the end of one of the balcony walkways in the cathedral. Prior to shooting the arrow it was a dead end, now it has opened into the tomb. Oh, BTW this room is behind the stained glass of the guy holding an orb (or something like that.)

I must say it's quite impressive, loved the story, textures sounds and everything.
I spent some hours of real fun.
Thank you so much for your hard work!!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Fantastic FM. A new favorite by far. Well thought out map and objective design (despite it taking me far too long to find that damned gold icon). Some of the most impressive patrol routes I've seen in a Thief mission. Good job integrating use of most equipment, and the new stuff was awesome. I would even go as far as calling this FM sheer genius. Can't wait for the next one.

Classy mission with fine architecture, this was Thief at its best.
By the way i got into the tunnel at the top of the waterfall, no need to go there taffers, theres just a blank wall at the rear of it, but a great view out the entrance.
