It would be nicer to play this if the framerate wouldn't be under 5fps in areas larger than a bedroom. :tsktsk: How can it stutter so much? I mean, it's not spectacularly high-quality. Plus I just upgraded my pc a few months back.

It's not your PC. It's the dork engine.

er its more likely DDFix, (assuming you have have installed) its a bit f a power hog and on lower end pc's will cause this sort of issue.

@Platinumoxicity
Maybe it's a problem on your end, you say you upgraded a few month ago, I guess that means you have a relatively new PC - for me this mission only went under 20 fps at the beginning if I looked up, otherwise it was smooth, no fps problems ... and my PC is a P4 3,0GHz CPU with an x1950pro AGP graphics card, which isn't exactly high end.

FWIW, I played this on a P4-2.8, 1 Gb DDR400 & a GeF 4 with no fps problems at all; so it doesn't necessarily need high-end graphics cards or multi-core CPUs.
So maybe it's your DDFix set-up or even your multi-core management? (& hopefully not one of those crazy, incomprehensible Dark Eng glitches :grr: )

Well, since I got my new computer a few months ago, I decided to check out this FM again. Now it runs smooth, but I found a pretty serious problem.
If I'm carrying an unconscious body and try to drop it, the screen immediately goes black and the game crashes to the OS. Don't know if anyone else has reported this so far, but I figured I should mention it.

That sounds like what happens if the carry pic (the little icon of Garrett with an AI over his shoulder) is missing. But, those pics are in the ZIP and it works for everyone else, so perhaps the files are missing or corrupted in your ZIP?
Check and see which of the files listed below are in the \obj folder inside the ZIP, and if they're there also make sure they're intact in the \obj folder in your T2 folder after the mission is installed through DL.
c_black.gif
c_blue.gif
c_gold.gif
c_purple.gif
c_red.gif
c_white.gif
If any of these are missing or corrupted, it will cause what you're seeing when you drop a body of an AI of that colour. Instead of making you DL the ZIP again, I can just email you the ones you're missing and you can add them to the archive. If it's not this, I'm at a loss.

Sorry if this was asked earlier:
When I go upstairs to see the fight between the blue and golden team, either they see me when I turn the wheel next to the entrance or I hide next to the chest with the noise arrow and cannot go anywhere because the golden team start seeing me when I move.

Yandros: thanks for the tip. It turns out that while all the files are there in the zip, none of them were extracted by Darkloader - and, in fact, I can't even extract them manually, so it looks like a corrupt download. I would be grateful if you could send me those files (I'm PM-ing my address to you). A question: will I be able to just add the files to the zip using Winzip, replacing the corrupt ones (so it will e suitable for future replays)? Wouldn't the corruption prevent that?
