Whenever I think of Dewdrop now I remember that mission where it was "alive" and followed you around. Can't recall the mission name though.
That would be Emilie Victor by Gaetane :cheeky:

Check the basement VERY carefully, particularly the room that has a workbench in it. I had a hunch. Thanks.
@uncadonego: I DO read. I read readables as much as I can. It's only when I found THE PLACE that it all came together.

Thanks. I really should probably take notes or something about the missions I like. Kind of late to start now though. Hmmmm.

never too late, I just started last year and already have 1/3 of a notebook filled with stuff on fm's :)

Finished...and oh boy, what a shock! I can hardly wait until the next installment. Oh, BTW...do those Keepers ever get tired of their job?! Come on!

A very good mission! I've just finished it, and found it very enjoyable and suitably challenging. Normally I don't like respawning AIs, but this mission handled it in a way that seemed natural, and it kept the City streets alive.
There were a couple of places where again, like in the previous mission of the series, I had to play against the Dark Engine oddities and quirks, rather than the mission itself, and those always put me off a bit.
But the background story in this mission is an interesting one, and the mission offers much variety. A stellar effort, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the continuation of the series!
Well done! :thumb:

thanks metal dawn, mol- and thanks to everyone who has downloaded it and played it. It hasn't even been out a month yet and there have been over 800 downloads so far. Thanks to everyone. :)

just beat this fm (with a little help from this thread). excellent mission all-around, loved the bookkeepers house (one of the few thief houses i'd actually want to live in!), respawning guards scared the crap outta me, loved it. unfortunately i didnt play two fathers before playing this (missed that little note in darkloader). two fathers is actually next up on my list to play :tsktsk: and soon after is mixed messages

There is a walkthrough for getting out of the caves in Two Fathers, with a few hints on overcoming the Dark Engine's oddities while you're in there. It might help. Some had a hard time in the caves, others apparently had no troubles at all. Just keep in mind it's there if you need it.
If you like thief houses you'd like to live in, try Just Take A Look as well. Some players commented they'd like to live there as well.
Glad you liked the mission. :)

Registered just to say I loved this mission! Great architecture and such a real city feel to it, and those surprise AI popping up really kept me on my toes the whole time. Sometimes in a mission you're just going through the motions once everyone is knocked out, not here! That mansion was awesome too, I never thought you would get away with that much scenery in Thief! Great ending! More! More! More!
