In my quest to "catch up" on T2 FMs, I've just completed this one (now up to Oct 2007, ...getting there!), and had to thank Ricebug for a great, FUN bit of Thieving!
I've only played one of the Zork games (Return to Zork), and never finished it, so I didn't even "get" all of the mission's Zorky references until I read about them in this thread. If I were more familiar with the Zorkisms, I might have enjoyed it more, but even with no pre-existing Zork-lopedic knowledge, this was definitely a different FM in a way that made it fun to play.
Stuff I really liked (whether Zorkishly-influenced or not):
1. The giants and the Zork-errific noises they made when I hurt them (I hurt them alot).
2. The little horny-headed, dwarfy-looking dudes (Grue?).
3. The variety of areas, and how they interconnected was freaky, but fun to discover and explore.
4. How areas "opened up" gradually by exploring thoroughly (I'd almost given up on finding those taffin' rope arrows!).
Also, I did not need one taffin' hint from this thread to finish on expert, and I LOVE when that happens!

ok i need a bit of help,i got all objectives but the egg,what do i do to pedistal in house?nothing i have will trigger it to open gate in house
looks like i have to figure out what do do with skull? and i dont think i had to use any rope arrows?
and what is drinking water for?
and what is nasty looking knife do?

The Jeweled Egg is north of the house in the big tree. Once you have it, place it on the pedestal in the house. The rest of the stuff--water, skull, knife, are carry-overs from the original Zork game.

i got a safe key, where can i find its safe? also what must i find for the white pedestal at the starting point? (home)

The safe is in the dam maintenance area, beneath the catwalk in the corner.
The Jeweled Egg goes on the pedestal.
(And to think I'm telling the Master Builder these hints!) :D

Thanks Terry :thumb:, i could go out with Dromed for clues, but this computer where i play missions doesn´t run Dromed, i have to fix this somehow.
