need some strategic help on defeating (or at least escaping) the undead!

I'm in the room with the sacred sphere and if I don't kill everyone on the way in, there are too many for me to get out! once that's done, how do I get back across the lava? :confused:

A question: [SPOILER]I got a blue key and a orange south teleport key left. I already 've been in the teleport area and I can't find a key for the gate in the room in the house, near the desk.[/SPOILER]

Any ideas?

Having trouble with the Cathedral area, or at least with the elevator to get there I believe...

I've got the key to the gate but when I was here before I accidentally sent the elevator down while frobbing the gate. Now, I can't get the elevator to come back up!

Am I missing something?

Also, on an amusing note...

When I frob the down elevator button, a thief I had previously knocked out magically teleports to the opposite of the hallway where the elevator is. :)

Thank you ... to both of you (you're still married, right) and all those who contributed art, etc. to make this a superb FM.

Very Refreshing! It was the perfect FM to re-introduce myself to Thief after being away so long. Felt somewhat naked weapon-wise (at first) but soon found out that I was being given more than enough to handle each situation as it arose. It was also nice to have [SPOILER]the bats take care of one of the giants for me.[/SPOILER] Playing on Lion meant wandering somewhat clueless at times; however, it also engendered a strong curiosity to look around and see what was possibly lurking around the next corner.

It's possible to get back by jumping over the lava. It's a little bit tricky but could be done.
