T2 FM, THORK Oct. 15/07 - by Ricebug

I'm reading every post and making notes. The elevator button problem never cropped up during the 2,000 times I ran through the mission. None of the testers found it (and those guys do some CRAAZZZY things to interrogate a mission).
I made 3 attempts at re-creating the original Zork world. Almost gave up. I used Infocom's map that comes with the game. The maze was a frigging nightmare.

Here's the quick and easy solution for Thork's maze. It begins in the Troll Room under the house. Pass the troll, taking the left tunnel, where the pool of water is. To get to the treasure, follow these directions:
West, South, West, South, Up
To go back, simply reverse the steps. There's really nothing else in the maze except an alternate escape route back to the Big Tree.

And even before playing, I just have to say THANK YOU! Zork is one of my all time favourite games from childhood, I worked on that thing forever, mapping and remapping the whole area, getting eaten by Grue's, drowning, etc.
EDIT - after playing for a bit, I have to say "I like it" (but not quite love it). The construction is a bit amateurish, but the adventure is fun and gameplay seems good so far. I managed to get myself lost in the "twisty little maze of passages, all alike" :)

That was brilliant. Most fun I've had with an FM in quite some time. I'm also making a thief version of a classic game, and I can only hope to capture the atmosphere of the original half as well as you did.

Thank you Lightningline!
I forgot to mention that I couldn't open the chest with the
supposedly poisenous stuff, near the giant. I had to kill him with my sword. The + button didn't work for me
???
Gloria: I use standard key for swap of BJ, sword etc... no necessary to use any special key, and poison arrows work.

very good mission, but unable to locate some rope arrows. Can someone tell me where? Also, there is a safe in the area where there are catwalks. Do not have key. Is there a lever for the north transporter?
Thank you for your help.:thumb:
