I'm past the 4 keys area and have arrived
at anothe rbuilding patrolled by apes. I'm on the second floor. There's an ape patrolling the front balcony. There's a door I can't unlock -- I'm assuming it leads to the throne room where one of the crowns is supposed to be. Where is the key for that door? I've been looking all over the place and can't find it.
Thanks!
BTW, awesome mission!!!

Just going from memory, I think you need to go further/past the door or something like that. This was a BIG mission so trying to remember is difficult
I think you get into the throne room via a hatch on the roof
Verak : Just a thought - is this a fairly regular-looking building? IIRC
this place has rat-men patrolling, & as canetoad said, the key you need is in a room you get to via a hatch in the roof or loft. That key is necessary to go any further
.
But it really is hard to remember all the pathways / key locations in this huge mission - I basically went through on instinct!

Sticky Fingers, I think Verak is in the next house. ;)
Verak: Move the crates upstairs, climb out of the window and over the roof.

This has got to be one of the most ambitious single missions in the history of Dromed - how much is in there is plain insane (especially when I checked it in the editor adter playing... how did it all fit into ~2800 terrain brushes? :wot: ). The twist was excellent, and provided a whole lot more gameplay than I originally thought; it is cool how it essentially turned into another type of mission in the middle. I wonder, bbb, were you inspired by Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar stories? The rat kingdom under the city bears an uncanny reseblance to one of those novels.
All in all: great, great stuff! :thumb:

I think that this mission must be in TOP10 for 2007.

Apart from getting stuck on 3 or 4 walls (not too shabby out of 2800 (?)), I loved every moment of this. I'm thinking top 3 :D

big :wot: very big .. very very big ..... HUGE in fact
that was FUN 7 hours .. SEVEN!! TAFFIN HOURS of sheer unadulterated FUUUUN! :thumb:
oh yesssssss! :cheeky: just when you think it must be getting to the end an entire new area gets opened up and the entire mission changes
BRILLIANT! Loved it to bits this thing just kept getting bigger the further you got, it must have taken you aaaaaaaaaaaaaages, your effort is extremely appreciated, you are officially on my list of dromeders to buy beer for should we meet
relatively simple but extremely effective architecture, difficult but not impossible puzzles, alternative routes, lots of climbing, rooftops, narrow beams, lots of AI's and loot coming out of your ears at the end theres so much of it :cheeky:
no major bugs, I did get stuck on one wall once, but that was becasue I got carried away trying to get over a rooftop that definitely wasn't supposed to be a part of the mission, just curious
gets a good solid ten on my thumbometer :thumb:
Stats - 7 hours playtime, 10801 loot and 4 out of 5 secrets
I shall definitely be playing this one again :ebil:
THANK YOU :thumb:

Move the crates upstairs, climb out of the window and over the roof. ffox, thanks, yes, that helped. I didn't see that you could
climb on the roof.
