I'm pretty sure I've made things such that this key appears at the same moment the old woman does. But I write this from memory. I'm pretty sure that's what I've done though.
Found the key on the old woman's belt on Hard. That poison thing was very clever.
Wow! Finished in 6 hours 40 on Hard. That is some mission and a very good story indeed. The only thing it needs is a detailed auto-map because there are so many rooms it is easy to get lost. I mostly ghosted this but once I found I had to keep going back and forth more often than I would have needed if there had been a detailed map then I gave in and used the cosh and it finished up empty of life which was easier but lost its dynamic atmosphere. Look forward to the next episode! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
I've just talked to the male ghost. What am I supposed to do now? I've searched high and low and found nothing to use the pagan key on. Don't bother with a hint, I need it spelled out for me at this point.
Eigenface :
Go through the door to the north (check compass as map has coal chute in wrong place) of the little garden where the ghost is and examine the grid in the kitchen. There is a little switch near, half behind a pipe I think. Go down the grid and along and eventually you see an icon similar to the key (on a wall near a door, can't miss it) that you can use it on.
Thanks a lot.
New problem. I've put the new testament in the lord's room (he said his soundbite), and dropped the notary down the sewer with the spider (the one across the street under the grate in the bathroom of the enterprise). The notary is Celadon, right? I assume so because a note that say its from the notary to Olivatre is signed Celadon. Well, I went back to the room with the lord's ghost, and he does nothing. Where have I gone wrong?
quick reply : think there was something else you had to do as well. I'll check
Fidcal on 14/2/2007 at 10:31
Yes : did you... Change the testament and bring it to the Lord's bedroom for Dregger. Don't read the following unless you need help with that as it's rather fun figuring it out...
To change the testament use the quill pen on the desk
[EDIT] On second thoughts and re-reading your post I think you have already done this. not sure. What you did sounds right but I don't have a save at that point to check.
[EDIT] I can only guess it's the actual positioning of Celadon (pretty sure he is the notary) in the sewer. Don't know if it is possible to slightly put him wrong. Can't remember exactly where I left him. I know I'd already killed the spider and fairly sure I just dropped Celadon near that. So the Lord's ghost is still in Garice's room?

I think what's happened is that you've got a new objective you might not have noticed once the ghost thanked you. Check and see.
Thanks a lot, I just had to move the notary to a slightly different spot in the sewer. I tried that before, but I didn't realize it did anything because the lord's ghost didn't play his acknowledgement soundbite until a few minutes later when I was back in the mansion. But now I have a new problem! He said (and my objectives say) to meet him in the old woman's room. Is the old woman madame dumoulong? She's the only one I can find with grey hair, and there's no ghost in her room.
