This is the one that confused me. If you go back to the little garden via the coal chute then through that door where you went before, past the little kitchen she should be in that parlour - BUT sneak and don't let her see you
I saw the key on her belt but not sure if it is same on all difficulties
CORRECTION! [EDIT] I was getting ahead of myself - I don't think she is there yet. But that little house is her house and the room you want is upstairs to meet the ghost again

Thanks a lot for the help. That was one excellent mansion mission.
Is the old lady supposed to drink the poison and die? She stood up, so I think I might have alerted her and prevented her from drinking it.
IIRC, you just leave it for her to take presumably soemtime in the future - but it's been a while since I played this one so I may be wrong. Once my next mission is released in a week or so, I'm looking forward to just playing missions and writing some tutorials for a month or two, and this is one I'm going to go back and play again!

What a fantastic mission! I loved having the various objectives to fufill. I got turned around a couple of times and had to check this thread for the location of the old woman. Like a few others, I wasn't sure where to find her and the map is very basic.
Great job on the brush work and textures. I loved the dust and lighting effect on the windows. Mansion missions are one of my favourite types of missions and this one kept me busy! :thumb:

Where are the
daggers
? (I've found one, somewhere). And is there any other optional objectives? TIA

The second dagger is at the same place as the first :sly:
Have you found The Lord's dead body? Stand beside it and face the fountain. Then turn left, right and left again. Enter the stairs and look up.
I usually don't like mansion missions, because they tend to get tedious and monotonous, but I enjoyed this mission very much. I almost forgot about what I was supposed to do there, because I was too busy marveling at the sheer beauty of it all: the architecture, the lighting, the detailing, the texturing; perfect is the word that comes to mind. Appearance-wise, the only thing I found a little odd were the light shafts. They looked artificial to me and could have been toned down and made less eye-catching.
The mansion was very fun to explore with all the alternate routes and tricky guard posts. I wish all mansions could look like this. Great gameplay with different kinds of puzzles (The poison-puzzle was a nice touch).
The story was okay, I wasn't exactly drawn into it, but it was good enough to not spoil the other parts. The ending was a bit tame (or anticlimactic if you will). It could have been made more dramatic: "The Pagans are up to something. Find out what's behind that door!" Opening the door could have been the last puzzle. Garrett opens the last door and finds something that makes him want to investigate further and then it ends. I'm guessing that that door will play an important role in part 2!? Anyway, that's just the compulsive scrutinizer in me showing its ugly face. I'm actually looking forward to part 2!

hi all!
I have a strange and unusual problem, when I install this and try to play it, on normal difficulty, thief exits to windows when the mission is loaded, on hard, it starts, but if I push button 2 for my blackjack, or I pick up a moss arrow in the sewer, Thief exits to windows again. Every other fan mission is going well and I never experienced this before.
Any hints?

Does anyone have a walkthru for this mission?
Fidcal on 25/11/2007 at 08:09
@ ticky: Don't know. Maybe you have a texture enhancement pack installed and when the blackjack or moss texture appears it is one too many? I doubt it but all I can think of right now. I recommend you post a new thread in the Editors' Guild because they are more technically knowledgeable about these things.
@Kczul : I don't know of any walkthru'. Likely you will have to search this thread (see top of postings) as most things have been covered as I recall - and ask questions if stuck. It's worth persisting with this mission.
